Chapter 17 - Letters

It has been about two months since I had met Poseidon at the beach, and we have kept in contact through mail. A letter had 'mysteriously' appeared in my room two days after Dudley's birthday and our trip to the beach, and I had found out that putting my letter in the sea blue envelope that his letter had come in would result in the letter vanishing and being sent to Dad. We generally just talked about our daily life to each other, him actually being truthful in his letters - probably thinking that I would just think he was making it up.

Dear Rhea,
I hope you are doing well. Your uncle didn't tell you off again, did he? If he did, then I will be sending my cyclops after him.

I'm fine. Thanks for worrying though. My cousin has managed to distract him when he had been about to blow up due to the water stains I had left in his car. But seriously, I'm surprised his distraction worked. Who knew my uncle had a stash of chocolates under his bed? I didn't. At least, not until Dudley started screaming about mice eating them. I had never seen my uncle run as fast as he had. RheaP.S.Also, why send cyclops and not mermaids?P.P.S.I know you said not to ask, but how does this envelope thingy work?

As I was saying before a certain Relative decided to blow up in my face, apologies for the short letter. But I really need to calm him down before he decides killing a bunch of dolphins would be a good stress reliever.

Yes, I have given you a nickname. Hope you like it. Well, I suppose your reasoning does make sense. After all, mermaids would have a hard time walking without legs. Also, I hope your relative suffers an illness. Dolphins are precious, and should never be harmed! Hope he hasn't blown up in your face again, whether literally or metaphorically. I imagine it wouldn't be very pleasant.Rhea

I totally agree with you! Dolphins are the most precious. And no, thankfully he didn't blow up in my face again. He didn't have the time to as he had been dragged off by his very angry wife who had just presently discovered another affair of his. I honestly don't know how they're still married. I guess they just get used to their marriages.

How are you? I really miss you, especially since I'm practically buried under paperwork right now. Goodness, do they really need me to answer whether fin length skirt is better than tail length skirt?
