─"PALS WHAT DID YOU GUYS DO AFTER SCHOOL?" nendou asked you and saiki as soon as the both of you entered the classroom.
due to how loud nendou had yelled the whole class turned to look at the pair curiously.
"saiki was just helping me study nendou" you giggled charmingly.
the whole class shrugged at your casual response and took their attention off of the both of you.
"but you two are always acting all lovey dovey you can't have only studied." nendou huffed.
"i apologize nendou but that's all we did." you lied to him smoothly.
"well maybe you're right." nendou sighed in defeat.
you and saiki let out sighs of relief when nendou trudged back to his desk while muttering to himself.
'that was a close one' saiki thought to himself.
'you're welcome saiki' you smirked.
'no need to get cocky' saiki grumbled.
'and there is no need to get pouty powerful psychic kusuo saiki' you teased him.
'i am not getting pouty-' you and saiki's mental conversation was cut off by
"you may be able to fool the idiot nendou but we know you guys didn't just study together last night." kaido said seriously with aren nodding behind him.
you and saiki groan in your head and try to think of a quick solution.
"ah i really don't know what you're talking about you guys i needed help studying for something and since me and saiki live close to each other i decided to get him to tutor me." you tried to brush them off.
"lies." kaido said sternly.
"i really am telling the truth." you insisted politely.
"there are no upcoming tests (y/n)." aren deadpanned.
"well yeah but you know-" you were cut off by kaidio interrupting you.
"plus you have some of the highest grades in the school why would you need someone with grades as average as saiki to tutor you?" kaido asked skeptically.
"well as i said saiki seemed to have a grasp on the subject and since he lives conveniently close by i decided to ask him." you tried to keep up your charade.
"well what was the subject?" aren continued the interrogation.
"well you know...." you trailed off at the end.
saiki felt as if you wouldn't be able to come up with something and decided to assist you.
"it was science!" you blurted out at the same time saiki said 'math!'
"i mean it was math!" you said at the same time saiki said 'science'
"uhhhhh." you blanked out.
'look what you did saiki i had everything under control!' you yelled at him telepathically.
'you totally did not i was just trying to save you from failing miserably.' saiki protested.
before your telepathic argument could continue kaido and aren said something that made you both stop.
"they clearly went home together to do couple things i mean look at how there were just looking into each other's eyes lovingly." kaido exclaimed.
"you're right kaido what else could explain that loving eye contact." aren agreed.
"we solved the case." the two boys high-fived.
'good grief' saiki thought to himself while you banged your head onto your desk.

a/n: this chapter was chill and it was nice and easy to writing. i feel like this chapter actually kind of imitated the vibe of the anime and i applaud myself on that. anyways i hope you guys enjoyed this chapter i love you guys so so much stay healthy and stay safe!
