I had gone over to my cousins house along with my younger sister to accompany my grandmother due to her not being able to walk up to the stairs. Our relatives had come to visit us from our home country.
After the small meet, my uncle agreed to give our grandmother a ride in his car because she was tired of walking those stairs when our house was just few blocks away. Recently, my grandmother's mother had passed away so I wasn't very happy about going alone back home with my sister Alya.
"Sophia, take care of yourself and your sister. Don't go anywhere else, straight home." Grandmother said and I nodded but before I could say anything to my sister, Alya had already ran off to home.
I raise my voice a little because it was around 9:30PM and ran behind her.
"Alya wait for me!" her pace was very fast, faster for a 5 year old.She was giggling and when she had reached our car parked in our porch she hid behind it. "So you want to play hide and seek." I say and take slow steps towards the car. I could see her movements, she was hiding.
We ran around the car chasing each other and when we were finally infront of each other. Alya had her back towards me. Her floral dress danced along with the wind so did her bob cut.
She slowly turned around and stared at me, smiling.
It wasn't normal because it wasn't Alya's face but instead my dead great grandmother's.
I shuddered with fear as she smiled at me and I tried moving my legs but they seemed to not be working. I somehow made it to my house, to my surprise there was Alya sitting and playing with her toys.
And then I fainted.
