"Sometimes the things you've lost can be found again in unexpected places" ~ Daniel Handler.

I feel frustrated for being reckless and sad for losing it. "You should never be vulnerable in any situation, little girl. You should prove me wrong that you are not a little girl anymore" I hear Granny saying these words. "I don't know what happens but I am damn sure that you would solve it yourself" She caresses my hair. "How are you so certain about that ?" I ask her. "Because you are as strong as your mo- dad" She hesitates at the last part but I don't ask her about that. Right now, the only thing that concerns me is the diary. I should search for it in the school no matter what. Dad always says 'Sometimes the things you've lost can be found again in unexpected places'

"Daadi, I should get going. See you in the evening" I rub my tears and am about to go outside the room "Thanks daadi, for reminding me that I am not a little girl" With that I go back to the school and search for the diary in the classroom.

"It seems like someone here has lost something important for them" I turn back to see the person who dares to mess with me. "I know it's you. Isn't it?" I snarl at the person who can only have a purpose to snatch my diary from me. "And you know why it is?" She seethes. I sigh and say "Okay, I admit that I am the one who steals your homework and I am sorry for that" I apologise to her. "Nah Nah, It's not enough Miss Crook. You should confess your crime in front of everyone including our Maths teacher" she smirks. "That's not happening" I snap at her. "Then forget about the diary" she snaps back.

Urgh!! What to do? Soch.. Soch. Anara. Idea!! I should steal the diary from her just like her homework. "That you can't do it, Crook. Because you can't even guess where it is" She smirks again. I have a strong urge to wipe off that smirk from her face. But it was my mistake to steal her homework and I should be honest because Dad always says 'What we do is what we get in return'

"Okay, I will do it. But you should return the diary if I do as you say" I warn her. "I will think about it. Moreover, you don't have any other choice right now, Crook" She smirks. Urghh!! God, please give me the patience to tolerate her continuous smirking. "Okay," I sigh. "Then do it right now," She orders. "Now?" I frown. "Our chemistry class is substituted with Maths class," A similar voice says from behind me. "You?" I scowl at the random girl who sat beside me in Maths class. "She is my friend" she high-fives with that random girl.

"So, it's a trap" I assert. "No, it's a plan to show your true colors to everyone" she snarls. I made the mistake of stealing and I can't even guess what I am going to face now. Everyone in the class is arriving gradually and it's time to confess my mistake in front of everyone. I look at Sara and she beckons to do it. I abruptly stand in the middle of the lecture shocking everyone including our Maths teacher.

"I am sorry for the interruption. I want to admit the guilt of stealing Sara's homework and claiming her homework as mine" I say everything in a single breath and turn towards our teacher "I am willing to get any punishment given by you, Mam" The classroom is very quiet or I could say that there is pin-drop silence in the class and this silence is irritating me. Ocmon, I didn't confess that I have murdered someone. Why do they remain quiet? Isn't it like they are sleeping during my confession? If that's the case, then I am safe.

"Write down the homework 10 times and apologize to Sara," Our teacher says breaking the pin-drop silence. "Now sit down and don't forget to bring it for the next class" With that, she continues teaching. To be frank, I expected more from her. Copying the homework 10 times is not a big deal for me. Fortunately, everything goes well and I should thank God for this miracle.

"Now take a break of 5 minutes and attend the next class, students" With that she has left. I have to get the diary from Sara within these 5 minutes. I rushed to her desk immediately after our teacher left and asked her "Give me back my diary, Sara" She ignored me and was about to leave.
