IN THE REYES HOME, CITLALI HELPED HER DAUGHTERS GET ALL THEIR THINGS FOR school. Citlali got up earlier to have time to do Estrella's hair, "Mommy are you coming to my dance recital?" Estrella asks. "It's at eleven." She adds.
"My parent conference meeting is today at 5:20. Mrs.Chen wants you and dad there." Mari says.
"I'll be there." Citlali says.
"Promise?" Estrella asks smiling at her mother.
"Star." Mari warns.
"Mom?" Estrella asks softly, her eyes held hope. She knew her dad would be there, he always made it.
"I can't make promises baby, but I'll try my best to be there." Citlali says.
"At least you're honest." Mari mutters. Citlali looks at Mari and kisses the top of her.
"It's us, the Reyes girls, remember?" Citlali says. "So the houses did we like them?"
"I like the last one." Estrella says.
"The second one." Mari says.
"Do we get our own room?" Estrella asks. She was used to her own room, but more times than not, they ended sleeping with their mom.
"Of course, you can decorate it too." Citlali says.
"New beds?" Mari smiles.
"I'll think about it." Citlali says and Mari and Estrella look at their mother smiling and hopeful, the two didn't understand the need to move, they liked their home.
AFTER DROPPING THE GIRLS OFF AT SCHOOL, CITLALI MADE HER WAY TO EMILY'S office with coffee and scone she picked up. She knocks on the door and smiles at her friend.
"I got you a little something for your first day." Citlali says making Emily smile.
"You're such a mom." Emily says smiling making Citlali laugh. "Thanks." She says taking the coffee and scone.
"Well thank you." Citlali smiles. "I was wondering, if I can have an hour off, at eleven. If we don't have a case, Estrella has a dance recital."
"I only have one condition." Emily tells her, "record her for me, I want to see her." Emily says making Citlali smile.
"Of course." Citlali smiles. The two speak about how Citlali is feeling about everything going on. "I'm glad you took the job, the team really needs someone like you."
"How are you taking it?" Emily asks knowing her and Hotch are close. How Citlali would invite Hotch over while he and Haley's separation and divorce, he joined the Reyes-Donovan home for dinner, many times it was Citlali dragging him, or bringing him lunch.
