Aurelia's Diary- November 1st, 2021

Dear Diary,

The wedding bells rang loudly, announcing the union of Anastasia and Harry. Many royals sauntered through the gates of the palace, making their way to the garden chairs and workers rushed around, providing assistance to any person in need. My eyes scanned the garden with pure admiration as so many put effort to create this masterpiece. Flowers bloomed in all directions, the ivory aisle pure and bright and chairs faced the alter. It was straight from a fairytale.

My mind wandered back to Harry and I's moment where he begged me to cancel his wedding with a few words, however, I couldn't muster up the words. What if I made a mistake? Instead I pushed the man I loved away and watched him get ready for his marriage. It all seemed unreal.

"Aurelia, I want you to ready the prince for his wedding," my boss interrupted. I turned to meet his eyes and he ushered me to Harry. I wasn't in the mood to be begged and I knew I would fall straight into his arms but I had to be strong. I couldn't be the reason why the kingdom and Harry went into their doom. I had to be the bigger person and accept it even though I was hurt.

My legs sauntered through the palace's grand door and walked past so many workers just trying to make sure everything was going according to the plan. My plan was to ready Harry for the second time. It was déjà vu all over again. I walked past paintings of the royal family until I was met with Harry's door, a flashback occurring all over again. Knocking, I waited for his answer.

"What do you want? When I'm ready, I'll let you know!" Harry boomed behind closed doors. Knocking again, I bit my lip anxiously as I knew I was pushing his buttons all over again. "I said leave me alone!" He yelled as he ripped the doors opened. My eyes widened as I saw Harry wrapped with an ivory towel from his waist down, revealing his toned upper body. "Oh,"

"Sorry to intrude but I was ordered to help you ready for your ceremony," I said automatically. It was all so unexpected and I knew he didn't know I was coming specifically to ready him.

"Don't," he said as he raised his hand. My eyebrows furrowed and my mind wandered on what he was about to say to me once again. "Don't act like we're strangers or even enemies again. I can't take that, Aurelia," he said, his deep voice entered my ears. He was actually hitting deep within my heart.

"I'm doing nothing Harry. I'm simply acting professionally since it's my job!" I argued. He needed to understand I
I had no other choice but to do this. I had to protect everyone by just saying no.

"It doesn't have to be. You're a princess, you should be treated as one. Why can't you be my wife, Aurelia. You'll be treated the way you deserve and I freaking love you," he huffed and crossed his arms. My heart...but.

"Shouldn't I be treated with respect despite my job? Like you said, I'm your equal no matter my status," I said and I rolled my eyes with pure annoyance.

"I know that but others are still living in that mindset. Marry me and we'll change their minds together!" He argued, trying to reason with me but I knew better. I couldn't marry a man on the same day he was prepared to marry another. I'll be hated by all of the kingdom and even banished.

"Harry, you can't expect me to marry you the day you're marrying someone else!" I said.

"I'll call it off and we'll marry another day. Don't I mean anything to you?" he said. He meant the world to me but I had to remain calm and civilised. I couldn't hand myself over to the temptation.

"You do, for God's sake! I love you but I'll be hated by everyone!" I bursted.

"I'll protect you. I'll do whatever to just protect you. They can't disobey me!" he huffed. I knew he would've done everything for me, even given up his throne but I had to think with my mind.
