I've realized that because it's only Gemini's point of view I can't include everything that I'd like to, so switching to 3rd person point of view for the rest.

Gemini stood on the front steps of Malfoy manor, subconsciously tugging at her sleeve. She'd never admit it but the high neck and elegant length of the dresses Narcissa gave her were starting to grow on her; The constant long sleeves and all black however had not. Draco sat impatiently on the top most stair behind his twin. Today was a big day, one they were supposedly anticipating with pride.

Their mother walks out of the manor with purpose, her heeled shoes clicking against the marble steps. "Now." She extends both hands for the twins to take. Draco goes first, holding his mother's wrist before Gem had moved.

"We can both disapperate now, why couldn't we go ourselves?" She asks without trying to hide bitter attitude.

"Because we're going together, it's a big day for us." Narcissa tells her daughter sternly.

Gem walks briskly to stand opposite Draco, staring into the side of Narcissas head, who'd been more or less refusing to look at her daughter since summer began. "You mean for Draco and I, you just have to show up."

The second her hand touches Narcissa's they disappear from their front pathway.

The Malfoys appear at the edge of Nocturn Alley just as Harry, Ron and Hermione happen to be standing down the lane, looking worriedly at Olivanders.

Hermione spots them first and can't help but gasp softly. "Gem." The boys look over to see their friend down the alley, her locked jaw and strict demeanor striking compared to the keen and shy smiling Gem they all knew.

Ron crosses his arms curiously. "Is it me or do the twins and mummy look like three people who don't wanna be followed?" The trio barely need to exchange a glance before following after the Malfoy's.

"Don't you see, it was an initiation. They're part of it now." Harry leans forward in his seat, adamant his theory.

"Harry stop it." Hermione says setting down the textbook she'd been flipping through.

Ron looks at her confused. "What?"

"Harry is under the impression that Draco and Gemini are now death eaters."

"You're barking. What would you-know-who want with a bloke like Malfoy? Not to mention Gem."

"Exactly." Hermione interjects. "Are you forgetting everything she did for us last year?"

"What were they doing in Borgin and Burke's? Shopping for furniture?" Harry reasons.

Rob shrugs. "It's a creepy shop, they're a creepy family."

"Look Gem's home life is complicated, but we know her, she wouldn't—" Before she can finish Gem herself walks by the compartment, likely on her way back from the loo. She pauses suddenly, having noticed the three looking up at her. She scans them silently, a plain expression on her face, briefly replaced by a small smile. The familiar expression quickly falters before she continues her brisk walk back to the Slytherin compartment.

The Gryffindors continue to look through the window where she'd stood. "Well you gotta admit, she doesn't look great." Harry says dejected.

Hermione swallows hard, having also noticed the purple bags under her eyes and her forced posture. "I can't imagine she had a great summer."

"Hermione you saw it—"

"I told you, I don't know what I saw." Hermione deflects, picking up her prophet again. With a huff Harry pushes himself up.

"Where are you going?" Ron asks.

"I need some air."

Gem's head was so lost in the clouds, she barely flinched when instant darkness powder took over the compartment.

"Relax boys, it's probably just a first year messing around." Pansy panders to Draco who was standing and looking around irritably. "Come on Draco, sit down. We'll be at Hogwarts soon."

Draco huffs but nevertheless takes the aisle seat next to Gem. "Hogwarts, what a pathetic excuse for a school." His lip curls spitefully. "Think I'd pitch myself off the astronomy tower before having to continue for another two years."

"What's that supposed to mean?" Pansy leans forward concerned.

"Draco." Gem warns in a soft tone. He spares a glance to his sister who's eyes wouldn't leave the passing countryside.

"Let's just say I won't be wasting my time in charms class next year." Zabini chuckles at the melodrama. "Amused Blaise? We'll see just who's laughing in the end."

Gem only snaps out of her daze when she finally notices everyone around them packing up. Before she can stand Draco's hand snaps to her wrist. "You two go on," he tells the others. "I wanna check something."

Gem stays seated, curiously watching her brother shut the door to the compartment behind everyone else. Then flicking his wand over his shoulder to shut the blinds on each train window.

"Didn't mummy ever tell you it was rude to eves-drop Potter. Potrificus totalus!" A semi-visible figure tumbled from the luggage wrack above Gem onto the floor. She flinches away from the figure with a gasp. Before Draco makes it to them Gem crouches and reaches out, her hand coming in contact with fabric before touching the ground, pulling away slowly to reveal a petrified Potter underneath. Gem was so distracted by the fascination of the invisibility cloak in her hand she took a moment before processing that her once close friend had been spying on them.

"Oh yeah, she was dead before you could wipe the drool off your chin." Draco says now leaning over Harry, his expression unable to react to Draco's cruelty.

She wanted to be mad at Harry, for not trusting her, but more then that she felt like she ought to kiss his feet and beg for forgiveness for all the things she hadn't yet done.

In a fast movement Draco lifts his foot and stomps on Harry's nose, the crunching noise making Gem cringe. "That's for my father." Draco takes the invisibility cloak from Gem and tosses it over Harry. "Enjoy your ride back to London."

After staring a second longer at the space he just disappeared, with a helpless expression and less hesitation than she'd have liked, Gem follows her brother from the cabin.

Soon as the door clicks shut behind her, a different one clicks open. "Hello Gem." It's Luna, emerging from the next compartment over, sporting unusual shapely pink glasses. She steps away from the train as though to head for Hogwarts.

"You should check our compartment." Gem recommends without explanation, quickly leaving a content Luna behind to hopefully step on Harry Potter.

"How'd you know he was there?" Gem asks once having caught up to Draco on the path to the castle.

"I saw Parkinson's bag move after the smoke settled, who else could it be?" He replies with a smug expression.

She looks sideways at the taller twin skeptically. "So you just knew Potter had an invisibility cloak?"

"Since third year."
