-I've got my red dress on tonight-
                              Dancing in the dark
                             In the pale moonlight
Done my hair up real big
                               Beauty queen style
                                   High heels off
                                -I'm feeling alive-
                 Summertime sadness -Lana del rey

Today is the big bonfire at the boneyard. It is an annual thing everyone knows about and everyone goes too. It is the only place we're all three ways of life co-exist. This is one of the things I look forward to every summer. And midsummers but I'll get to that a little later.

Last night a big storm came through knocked out all the power which means today I have to help Ward around the house and try to figure out what needs to be fixed and replaced.

Ward offered me a job not too long ago, I really appreciated it since I liked to make my own money sometimes.

As I made my way outside I passed rafe in the hallway and stopped him to talk for a moment. Him and my brother have been acting strange since last night.

"Rafe? Are you going to the boneyard tonight?" I questioned as I put a hand on his arm to stop him from moving.

"Yeah I think I am. Do you need a ride?" He asked knowing if he drove me in his truck on the way there I'd have to drive him home.

Because everyone knows I refuse to have more than one drink, I'm not too fond of alcohol. But when the boys get drunk I'm not too hard on them and just let it slide since it's just a party. As long as they get home safe is all I care about.

"Um, you wouldn't mind driving me?" I questioned looking up at him because he's too fucking tall.

"Yeah I wouldn't mind going there anyway. But you have to drive home." He smirked down at me.

"I knew you would say that." I said before starting to walk away. He follows me as he wants to keep our little conversation going.

"Yeah but, you know you love driving, Bali" he said as I turned around as to who 'Bali' was.

"What?" I questioned back, unsure whether he was joking or not.

"My truck, me and your brother named her Bali!" He said raising his hands and flopping them back down. He looked like a bird if you ask me.

"Oh you two are geniuses. Really, like those are great names. Can't wait to see what your kids are gonna be named. If you can find a girl that would marry you two that is." I said, giving him a playful smirk as he put a hand on his chest and gasped like he was hurt by my words.

"Wow! I see how it is. Ya know I could have a girlfriend if I wanted to. In fact I have feelings for this one girl." He said running a hand through his hair as we walked outside.

"Oh really? Who's this mystery girl?" I asked, trying not to sound hurt. I mean I kinda was since I used to like him. But ya know I have a boyfriend so it doesn't even matter whether or not he likes me.

"See now that is something I can't tell you, but the one thing I will say is that I'm pretty sure she'll be mine soon." He glanced at me as he said this.

"Well I hope I get to meet her when you do get her." I said walking away to end the conversation because I needed to go help Ward.

I walked around the side of the house to find Ward walking with an older looking woman and Sarah in the background swatting away birds with a stick.
