"Seokmin, my love." his wife called as she stood in the middle of the doorway leading to their porch, where her lovely husband sat, illuminated by the moonlight of a hundred years ago. "I have already prepared our dinner for this evening. Now, would you like to eat?"
Her husband turned his head around, and his eyes instantly lit up at the sight of his beautiful lover. He answered as he stood up from the dusty wood he was once sitting on. "Yes, Dasom, my lovely wife." He went on as he walked nearer to the latter, "I would also like for us to go stargazing for tonight. Would you care to join, my dear?"
She chuckled softly and held the warm hands of her husband, as they both walk back inside their humble home. "Of course, I would." she replied, "I wouldn't mind watching stars all night when it comes to you."
Their fingers were intertwined and was never once slightly parted even as they made their way to the dinner table. With their locked hands resting on its wooden surface, they ate their meal while talking about their day. Surrounding them were candles lit with a gentle flame, lighting up the whole house in warm light, glowing with subtle joy and peace. The crickets chirp their summer night song as the married couple stared at each other's twinkling eyes without even having to say a word.
They both firmly believe that it was fate that bonded them, not a forced commitment or an arranged marriage. Even on the first day, when they both hadn't even met, it was already like they had known and loved each other in a life before the present they were living now. And you can tell just by the way they look at each other, or hold each other's hand as if it were the most precious, most fragile thing they own. It was no lie that they were deeply, romantically, forever in love.
Dasom commented as she gazed through the open window as rain started to pour heavily outside. "I'm afraid the heavens do not wish for us to see the stars for tonight." Seokmin let out a puff, but not in disbelief or anger. It was only because of a great idea that had popped up so suddenly. He stood up from the table, gesturing with his eyes that his lover would do the same.
"My love, instead of watching stars, would you take my hand and dance with me?"
She smiled lovingly as a response, before gently placing her hand atop his. She twirled around playfully, her dress spinning along with her, as her husband laughed softheartedly.
Seokmin started humming a sweet, low melody as they started to sway around the same tempo. They both felt safe and sound, as they were in the embrace of their lover. Dasom rested her head on his chest, hearing his heartbeat and his muffled voice; while the latter rested his chin on the top of her head, wishing that moments like this would fulfill the lifetime of when they loved. Eyes connected, hands intertwined, hearts aglow with love and adoration; it was the most beautiful moment in life.
And one of the moments Seokmin treasured deep within his heart.

Seokmin woke up startled, in the middle of night and the earliest hours of dawn. He sat bold upright and let out a small frightened gasp. Heavy pants escaped his lips, his heart felt like exploding, and he was doused in anxious sweat. A few seconds passed, later then did he notice the damp, sticky skin around his cheeks and the side of his forehead. Seokmin felt utter confusion, fear slowly crawling up upon him.
A few days have passed since the mission to Seoul, as well as having seen the last time warp of his lover. But it gave the illusion of an abrupt stop, a second of calm, or a second to breathe. And yet he thought it would be the last of it, not until this very moment, where fear and anxiety held him hostage.
