Day Five, 5:56 A.M
There was no room for mistakes.
Jihoon carefully opens Seungcheol's door amid the dawn of sunlight. It wasn't clear which of the members was in the possession of the key. But knowing Soonyoung, he would only trust those who are worthy.
There was no time to grieve for what we lost.
He tiptoes his way to Seungcheol's drawer in search of the key. The light of early sunrise seeps through the blinds. Jihoon made sure he wasn't breathing too loud— it doesn't seem like he'll wake the latter though, he was snoring too loudly for him to hear Jihoon's soft exhales.
There was hardly any time to waste at all.
Jihoon sits down in front of the bedside table, discreetly pulls out the wooden drawer, and precisely takes out everything inside. But as soon as he places every one of Seungcheol's stored trinkets onto the cold floor, there was no key to be found.
There was hardly any time to breathe.
Jihoon checks every drawer, cautiously pausing every time Seungcheol's snores stop. Again, there was no key to be found anywhere.
"If it isn't in Seungcheol's drawer, where is it?!" he whispers in frustration. Jihoon only had a couple of minutes left before the light fully illuminated the room— which is when Seungcheol most likely woke up.
Lightbulb.
"If it isn't inside the drawers, maybe it's under!" Jihoon exclaims. He immediately pulls out every drawer he has checked and places his palm under it. He starts moving his palm in a circle motion, searching if there was a hidden key taped to it. Unfortunately, there was nothing under the first drawer, certainly nothing under the second, and sadly nothing under the third.
Jihoon didn't let that disappointment crush him, because he knew he had to think of another plan. He was certain that the key was with Seungcheol, and he wouldn't give up just yet.
Another lightbulb.
His eyes lit up and a wide smile made its way across his lips. "If it's not under the drawers, maybe it's under the bedside table itself!"
Fortunately this time, he was right.

Day Five, 10:04 A.M
Jihoon was running full speed up the mountain road, adrenaline and that pure feeling of excitement flowing in his veins. "Yeona!" he shouted, "I found the key!!"
Yeona turned her head to the right at the sudden call of her name and heard the distant sounds of Jihoon's light laughter from meters away. She giggled at the sight of him skipping gleefully towards her. She cheered, "Hell yeah!!"
"Alright," Jihoon smirked while pressing the button, "Let's do this!"
The two of them stood in front of the building, watching as the magic of it unfolds in broad daylight. The lights were turned off and the inside was dark, the place was silent and empty, and the atmosphere surrounding it was a strange feeling of bareness in the cold winter air.
