"S-Soonyoung-?!"
He raised an eyebrow.
"W-Wow, y-you're here-!" Jihoon exclaimed with a sheepish smile, hiding the fact that he was frightened by the manager's sudden presence at the cafe's doorway. "Shouldn't you be sleeping at this hour?"
"Shouldn't you?" he replied with a bitter look on his face. He clicked his tongue and shifted his weight to his left foot, crossing his arms and scoffing in disbelief. "Jihoon, why are you here?"
"I left my bag last night," he reasoned casually, calm and composed like he always is. He further added, bringing more realness to his fake story. "I don't remember bringing it with me went home. I probably left it in the van or something."
"Really?"
Jihoon nodded.
Soonyoung rubbed his nape in embarrassment, sighing as he avoided eye contact with Jihoon. "I'm sorry for being suspicious over you.."
"I-It's fine-"
"It's because I had a dream last night." the manager confessed, "I searched it up as soon as I woke up, and it meant that one of us in the crew is hiding something."
"I-I'm just worried," Soonyoung said, pursing his lips as another gesture for an apology. "Because what if it's true?"
"I think it's best if you don't overthink it," Jihoon advised sincerely, with a smile as straight a line but with the ends curved up slightly.
The manager found himself smiling away the stress he felt that morning, however, the smile didn't last for even just three seconds. On the corner of his left eye, he saw a red motorcycle parked right beside the bench outside. He turned his head at the sight of it, and it ignited a flame in his eyes.
He looked back at the latter in confusion and began walking up to the parked vehicle-
No...
He was storming angrily to the red motorcycle because he knew who it belonged to. Because he knew that Jihoon was keeping something from him-
"Jihoon!" a woman's voice called from the near distance, right by the side of the building, halting the angry manager entirely. "I found my bracelet!" She held up her bracelet in the air, a big smile she wore on her face while staring at the terrified expression painted on Jihoon's face.
"Yeona?" Soonyoung asked, questioning everything he was doing in that split second. "W-Why are you here?"
Her smile momentarily faded away, replaced by furrowed brows and a slight pout. "I could ask the same for you, sir." she laughed cheekily.
"Oh my gosh.." Soonyoung covered his face with his palm. "I'm so sorry.."
Yeona neared him with a worried gaze, "For what?" She stood by him and placed a hand on his shoulder, "Are you okay?"
"N-No," he answered, "Maybe I'm just paranoid."
"How about we all go home?" Jihoon replied, walking up to the pair standing in the middle of the road after closing up the café.
"Wanna come to my apartment?" Yeona offered, "It's almost lunch anyways, I can cook up some bibimbap if you guys are hungry."
Soonyoung's sad eyes lit up almost instantly, a smile making its way to his lips before eventually turning into this sickening Joker grin. He chirped, "I would love that!"
