Although Mingyu was the tallest, and most likely the beefiest guard out of all them three; he was quite a scaredy-cat despite his intimidating appearance. He preferred rom-coms rather than high-quality horror movies, as he didn't want to think about ghosts as he sleeps. He becomes paranoid when it comes to these stuff, and would want someone to sleep beside him. Those are the excuses he comes up with to hide the fact that he's actually just really scared of ghosts. Aside from ghosts, he's also scared of heights. He does enjoy a good view from the window of an airplane, but his heartbeat raises to the roof when he looks down from a tall building. However, you can't deny that he's one of the bravest people in the crew. After all, he's the one who catches the spiders in the girl's section of the dorms, even though he's scared of such little organisms.
Jihoon was inside the café, taking a small coffee break; while Seungcheol was back in the dorms, helping Seokmin pack all his stuff for his departure. So that leaves Mingyu all alone in his lonely post. He was quite afraid to be there all alone, sitting on his post, occasionally glancing if there were any customers walking up the road; because, who knows? There might be some kind of creature walking by, or watching him from the trees. Mingyu hated dark places, it's ironic that he's working at a place where depressed people go.
The faint sound of footsteps stepping on crunched leaves and dry asphalt was heard in the distance.
Mingyu felt his heart skip a beat, his stomach churn, and his skin chill with goosebumps. He gulped before leaving his seat, grabbing a flashlight with him as he went. He walks up to the middle of the road, looking left and right to see where the sounds were coming from. And to his surprise, he saw a young man walking up slowly to the café. He looked about nineteen or twenty years old, and he had long black hair, tied up messily. It was strange because this man looked weak, and pale; almost like he was lifeless zombie.
Mingyu, who was of course scared, decided to walk up to the man and help him because it was part of his job. The sooner he came closer to the latter, the more eerily familiar his face was.
"Good evening, sir." Mingyu greeted with a bow, causing the customer to halt his footing. He looked back up and smiled at young man, eager to charm him with his famous smile. "I'll be your escort for this evening. Welcome to SVTea Café, the place for all the broken-hearted people!"
The latter failed to show emotion, his face was a blank slate, but the charming guard didn't seem to mind. He instead was very casual and friendly to this new customer, he even rested his big hand on his shoulder as a way of being a cool guard. He explained, "Don't worry about paying, sir. We have free services, and you'll leave with a lighter heart and hopefully, a smile on your face!"
The young man listened to him emotionlessly, but for the guard, it was perfectly normal. It was normal until he noticed a purple, and reddish mark on his neck. It was more of a line circling around. Mingyu knew that something wasn't really right.
He brought the customer into the café, and fetched Seungkwan to escort him further inside. "Seungkwan," he called, "bring this guy to Jeonghan please!"
Seungkwan replied, walking up to the tall guard with a tray he was about to return, as he looked the new customer up and down. He sneered, "Gosh, who's this hot mess?"
"Don't mind Mr. Round-face. He's a bit annoying and childish sometimes." Mingyu softly whispered to the customer, before lightly pushing him up to the waiter. "Let Jeonghan handle this guy, he probably knows what to do."
As told, Seungkwan brought the customer to Jeonghan's counter, leaving him there as he still had more work to do. He squinted his eyes and gave Jeonghan a rude look, staring at him as he continued playing games on his phone. He rolled his eyes, "All yours, Han. I've got actual work unlike you."
