Chapter 25

-Ukyo POV-

"Come on! Don't you want to see her?" Yuzuriha dragged me along.
"Heh? Of course I do..." I said. "I'm just... nervous"
"I'm sure Arisa will be very happy to see you" she said.

"Yeah, when she first woke up, she searched for you every day" said Taiju.
We walked closer to their camp, my heart was beating too fast...
I saw her... her hair was still half braided in and a ponytail at the end...

She had matured a bit... Well, she was 2 years older than the last time I had seen her.
She had a petrification scar on her left arm, as well as a glove on her left hand.
"Senku! Arisa!" Taiju ran to them and they both evaded his hug.

Her forest green eyes fell on me, and she dropped her metal bow.
"Ari?" I heard one of the villagers ask. "Everything okay? You look like you've seen a ghost"
"Ukyo" it was barely a whisper, but I heard it, she smiled and took off her quiver.

I dropped my bow and did the same, I even took my hat off.
"Ukyo!" she said again.
"Ari!" I said.

She ran to me and immeadiatly wrapped her arms around me.
I pulled her closer and buried my face in her neck.
Her soft skin and warmth were still the same...

"Ukyo!" she said and cried.
"Arisa" I said.
We fell on our knees, we were both a crying mess...

Finally... after so long... I could hold her in my arms again...
"I'm so sorry, I made you wait so long" I said and she laughed.
"You certainly know how to make a girl wait for you" she said.

"I missed you so much" I said.
"I missed you too, Uki" she said and grabbed me tighter. "So much... you have no idea... I thought I had lost you forever... I couldn't find you... no matter how hard I tried..."
"I'm sorry" I whispered. "I'm here now, and I'm not going anywhere"

-Senku POV-

"We have to hurry up" I said, but I saw the smile on Arisa's face.
It was a smile I had never seen before, she was happy, truly happy...
"What's the deal with those two?" asked Ginro.

I saw a few guys looking jealous at the pair.
I saw them talk, he grabbed her face and let his forehead rest against hers.
She was smiling and laughing.
But the guys from the village lost it when they saw him give her a kiss on her forehead.

"Don't interrupt them!" threatened Kohaku. "Look at her, have you ever seen her smile like that? Don't ruin it for her"
"Lioness" I said.
"I am not a lioness!" she shouted.

-Arisa POV-

I didn't want to let go...
"We should probably get ready" said Ukyo.
"You're right" I whispered.

"Everything will be fine" he assured me. "I'm not leaving you again, I promise"
He kissed my forehead and then let his forehead rest against mine for a while.
"You better keep that promise, Officer Uki" I teased and he chuckled.
"I promise" he whispered and held my hand. "I swear"

"The Kingdom of Science now has a full deck of cards" said Senku. "It's the beginning of the final battle against the Tsukasa Empire. This is exhilarating!"

"I'm so nostalgic, I could cry my eyes out" said Senku when we were at the miracle cave.
"Is that..." said Kinro.
"Yeah" I said. "That's where we woke up"

"That's where we get the stuff from bat guano..." said Chrome.
"Nitric acid" said Senku.
I saw Ukyo climbing lower in the tree.

"Tsukasa and Hyoga are at the grave" he said. "It's pretty far from here"
"That's fantastic to know" said Senku. "One blast of this tank's bluff cannon, and any modern person's morale will immediately tank, ten billion percent.
