Chapter 27

-Ukyo POV-

"Get away from there!" shouted Senku. "Mirai! Tsukasa!"
I saw Hyoga lift up his spear and aiming for Mirai.
I saw Arisa spring and slid under his arm and shielded Mirai with her own body.

"Arisa!" I yelled.
I saw Tsukasa jump between them and took the full blow... the spear pierced his body.
"Whether I'd tried to sneak in from behind or attack you in your sleep, I could never erase you, the strongest high school primate, Tsukasa Shishio" said Hyoga. "So long as there was nothing for you to protect, that is"

"Don't look, Mirai" I hear Arisa whisper. "It'll be okay..."
She was holding Mirai close, so she wouldn't see the horrifying scene.
Hyoga dumped Tsukasa in the river, but Senku jumped in and grabbed him.

"Run! Mirai!" shouted Arisa, Mirai ran to Kohaku.
Arisa saw that Hyoga was going to hurt Senku so she jumped in between.
"No! Arisa!" I screamed when I saw Hyoga hit her, she flew a few metres before falling hard on the ground.

My heart was aching, she wasn't moving...
I ran to her and kneeled before her.
"Ari!" I shouted.

"I'm fine" she whispered, I helped her up and she saw Hyoga push Senku into the river. "Senku!"
She wanted to go after him, but I took her in my arms to stop her.
"You can't!" I said. "The current is too strong"

She hissed in pain, her fall must've bruised her ribs.
"Sorry" I whispered. "But you can't jump after them, you're hurt"
Hyoga jumped into the river as well.

"Senku!" she screamed.
"Let's go" I said. "We'll find them downstream by the river"

-Arisa POV-

My ribs were hurting like crazy...
We ran as quickly as we could down to the river.
We saw Homura running towards Senku and Tsukasa with a knife, but we all stopped her.

Kohaku jumped on her and we managed to restrain her.
"Are you all right, Senku?" asked Kinro.
"Yeah, I'm in ten billion percent perfect shape" said Senku. "Although it would have been bad if it was the first time I'd been speared. Our training together paid off, Kinro"

I saw the batteries he had placed under his shirt.
"Senku..." I said and hugged him tightly. "I swear, you're going to be the death of me someday..."
"I'm fine, Ari" he said and patted my ribs, which hurt.

"Auch!" I said. "Careful, my ribs are bruised"
"Sorry" he said and I let him go.
I saw Ukyo tying up Hyoga, it was finally over...

"All right, let's go ahead and kill this Hyoga bastard!" said Magma.
"Killing people is bad" said Taiju.
"Why is that always your first thought, Magma?" asked Ginro.

"How long are we going to keep them captive, though?" asked Chrome.
"Until the day we bring civilization back to the world" said Senku. "Once we have a scientific civilization, Hyoga won't be anywhere near the strongest. People can hold trials or whatever else they need to do. I have no interest in any of that. I'm just a science person"

We were building science facilities in the Tsukasa Empire, since they were all on our side now.
Even piecing the statues together went faster, we tested it by waking someone up, and it worked, they were revived!
But, Tsukasa wasn't looking so good...

I sat next to Ukyo, listening to every location where Tsukasa had destroyed a statue.
"Straight from there, just past the lake" said Tsukasa. "And then..."
"You can't speak, Tsuka" said Minami, a reporter. "You need to get some rest"

"I have to tell you this before the end" said Tsukasa.
"Don't be all gloom and doom yet" I said. "You're not going to kick the bucket just yet"
"It's finished" he said. "Now that the Kingdom of Science has won, the statues that I destroyed will have died for nothing"
