Sayra had been regularly sneaking out everyday to meet Cinizia. She used to point out to her all the glittering constellations that dotted the skies, she held her hand and took her to places all over the town where no one knew her name. Today they were supposed to meet in the morning because Cinizia wanted to show her the cove on the beach. Sayra had somehow managed to evade her mother's vigilant eyes and was making her way towards the beach. The sun shone fiercely on her skin as she walked through the twisting roads under the azure sky. Once she reached the beach she immediately spotted Cinizia. She was leaning against the dilapidated white picket fence while her eyes examining the wild beach roses and sea lavenders growing in the broken sea shell sand.
"Hey," she said as she made her way towards her.
"Hey," Cinizia replied back as she grabbed Sayra's hand and interlaced her fingers with her. Sayra felt herself melt a bit under her touch.
"So where is the cove?" she said as she turned her gaze to the malevolent but beautiful teal sea. The water was at a low tide, and small wavelets crashed against the rugged obsidian rocks.
"Its a bit of a long walk from here, but it would be worth it," Cinizia replied with a smile. She took Sayra's hand as she led her down the sandy pathway lined with palm trees and pastel pink beach roses. Cinizia occasionally asked her questions as she kept her hand in hers. Sayra quietly admired Cinizia's ever glowing beauty and found herself falling deeper for her with each word she spoke.
After a long walk they finally reached the cove. Cinizia was right; the walk was worth it. The ivory sand was surrounded by thick green coconut palms and faded rocks. The air smelt of freshly bloomed frangipanis and salt. The water was a brilliant hue of turquoise and was much calm compared the beach. Sayra could make out the faint outlines of the polychromatic corals beneath the surface of the crystal clear water. A soft breeze blew through her locks as she took in the beauty of the place.
"This is so beautiful," she said in awe, unable to believe that such a place existed in Ilvermonia.
"It really is," Cinizia said with a smile as she took off her sun dress with a graceful motion. She was wearing a burguny swimsuit with fine mesh covering the cut out areas. With the her dark tresses blowing in the wind and her gray eyes sparkling under the sun, she really looked like the goddess of the cove.
"How many people know about this place?" Sayra asked as she too stripped down to her plain mint green swimsuit.
"Only me and you," Cinizia said with a smirk as he gray eyes lingered over her while she took off her clothes. Sayra looked over her shoulder and beamed back to her.
"So do you want to head over to the water or do you want to stay in the sand?" Cinizia asked her as she grabbed Sayra's warm hands. Sayra flashed her another beaming smile, before replying to her.
"The water, its been so long since I stepped foot into the ocean," she said wistfully as she interlaced her fingers with her. Cinizia could feel her skin heating up with the contact between them. Sayra gave her a small smirk before pulling her with her into the ocean. She followed behind her as she ran straight into the aquamarine water with a smile stretched across her face. It had been years since she had truly smiled and felt at peace with herself. The rustling sound of the waves, the sparkling sun lit water and Cinizia-the holy trinity of pure euphoria.
"Do you want to go under?" Cinizia said as she shielded her eyes with her hands from the fierce sun.
Sayra nodded as a smile effortlessly stretched across her lips. Taking in a deep breath, both of them plunged beneath the slightly cold aquamarine water. Water sliced between their fingers as they made their way towards the pearlescent coral beds, their legs propelling them further into the ocean. Sayra could make out the blurred outlines of the rainbow glazed corals, her eyes lit with wonder. They stayed there for a while, admiring the extensive beauty of the ocean before Cinizia snaked her hand in hers and she swam upwards, pulling her with her.
"That was amazing," Sayra gasped as fresh wonder filled her eyes. Cinizia gave her a small smile and came closer to her till there was barely any space between the two of them. Her gaze briefly fell upon her Sayra's dusted pink lips with a slight blue tinge to them. Sayra could feel all the blood rushing to her face, and making her cheeks glow with amaranth. She bit her lips nervously, not knowing what to do.
"If you keep doing that, I might make a mistake," Cinizia whispered as her saline drenched fingertips caressed her heated cheeks.
"I don't think you can make any mistakes," she replied as she gained a bit of confidence and ran her fingers through Cinizia's sea soaked hair. Cinizia gave her a smirk before crashing her lips against hers. Sayra didn't know how to react at first, as she still couldn't believe that a girl like Cinizia was kissing her. When it finally hit her, that Cinizia was really kissing her; she cupped her cheeks and kissed her back with the golden passion that only bubbled in her when the girl with divinity in her veins was near her. Cinizia tasted just as surreal and heavenly as Sayra had imagined, her cherry lips against her and her warm skin on hers - she could have died right there, because she had finally found her paradise in Cinizia and the slopes of her body.
Her frenzied heart was in sync with hers, beating to the rhythm of the sea waves crashing against the craggy rocks. She could feel Cinizia's iridescent beauty melt into her as her lips left fluttering kisses all over her neck. Sayra no longer felt like a washed out girl with a monochromatic existence that was phased into the background of the world. With Cinizia she felt like she was the techincolour goddess of the malignant cyan water, the apotheosis of sempiternal pulchritude that only blossomed from her pearl ribs once she was entangled into her web of velvety eloquence and divine charisma. Multitudes of colour and radiance seeped into her skin and for once she felt like she was more than just rotting flesh and bones. Perhaps that was the beauty of Cinizia, she made your grayscale heart technicolour with her effulgence.
