By Your Side - Tomo x Kazuha [Complete]

"I hope, the young rōnin didn't leave without me." Tomo whispered in a hurry while clutching yuki who was eating peacefully in his chest. The previous behavior of the cat was no where to be found.

"I didn't even catch his name." He sighed dejectedly. Tomo's footsteps hurried towards the smith hoping that kazuha would still be there.

After arriving at the smith, Tomo founds out that kazuha was already gone. With a dejected look Tomo search his surroundings.

"He's gone." That almost came out a whisper. He look down on his chest and stared at yuki.

"Meow?" She blinked innocently. Was it her fault that she was hungry? And who would have thought that the young rōnin would be gone after they showed their backs. Whith a loud sigh Tomo patted her on the head, trying to appease his broken heart.

Gentle breeze brush through kazuha's hair making it dance peacefully. Stopping from his tracks, kazuha stared at the ditant sky. He couldn't help but think about the young adult he just encountered, Not realizing he was already smiling.

"I would like to meet you again." He whispered in the wind before continuing.

On the way to tatarasanu, kazuha's experience was quite peaceful. In all honesty he like the wind dance gracefully around him, birds chirping, and a warm atmosphere. But those experience broke when he arrived at his destination.

Tatarasanu was once a friendly place but it seems like it isn't so friendly now.  He can feel electric current in the air, an atmosphere that could choke you, and a purple like water. Looking at the water kazuha can imagine himself being electrocuted just by dipping his thumb.

"What happened to this place?" He blurted out in shock. It was a good thing a transparent barrier was keeping out of his way and the citizens way. It was too dangerous here.

Kazuha's brows furrowed and decided to just let the commissioner deal with it, after all he can't do anything with it, He doesn't even know what happened to this place.

With big steps kazuha walk away from the place and decided to explore the area.

"Yukiiiiiihhhhh" Tomo whined while shaking yuki.

"Please sniff his scent~" He added. Tomo waited and waited for kazuha but the young rōnin never showed up. It was clear that he already made his way to whatever his destination is.

"This is all you're fault yukiiiii, If you had waited he would have never left~" Tomo blamed it all on the poor cat.

"Meowww~" Tomo felt that yuki was rolling her eyes.

"Then to make it up, sniff his scent? please?" He pleaded.

Yuki felt like slapping her owner. How can she sniff that rōnin when his scent is nowhere in the air?! The wind already wash the scent away.

"I'm so desperate." Tomo mumbled while placing yuki back to his chest.

"Well, I hope we can see him again." All the pedestrian on the street can't help but stare at them, the cat and master have been answering each other for the past 10 minutes now, And it seems like that's the end of the conversation.

"Hmmm, I see. So that's what happened to this place." Kazuha said while looking at the man's fearful face. After looking around the area kazuha found this particular scared looking man. He was mumbling about the situation inside the barrier. He was shaking and keep shaking his head. He introduced himself as xavier a consultant from fontaine.

After hearing the story from xavier kazuha can't help but think. If this went on the island would really blow up. Patting xavier's shoulder, kazuha opened his mouth-

"There's nothing we can do at the moment, I suggest reporting this incident to the commissioner." He calmly said. Xavier stared at him before nodding.

"Can I handle the task to you young one?" Xavier voiced out. Kazuha was taken aback but then nodded.

"Thank you. Any commissioner will do." He said. Kazuha nodded his head before walking away. He planned to report this incident to the yashiro  commission.

"Yuki...What do you think of another dad?" Tomo aked. He was currently in chinju forest, and was sitting on a big bolder. There were Hilichurl bodies everywhere and some of them were underneath the bolder. An eye catching ornament that was dangling in his waist was glowing, it seems like it was recently used. Yuki who was in tomo's lap opened one of her eye before closing it again.

"Oh come on! I'm serious here yuki." He whined while petting her. Looking down on the Hilichurl bodies, This little rascals was blocking his way. He was just passing by when they suddenly attack him so without a choice he draw his blade, Electric current soon started to appear.
A flash appeared on his surroundings before making a spark. Positioning himself, suddenly a massive lightning hit the Hilichurls. He disappeared from sight and reappear with a blood on his blade. Shaking the blade slightly before sheathing it back.

"Fools." He mumbled while glaring at the rest of the Hilichurls.

"Let's go back to the village yuki." Tomo whispered. Picking up yuki and positioning her on his chest before walking away.

Just as he was about to exit the forest he saw a pale blond hair that was walking towards the kamisato estate. Tomo's heart suddenly pound when he realized it was the young rōnin. So he change direction and went straight to kazuha.

"Hi." Kazuha's eyes widen when he heard a familiar voice. He looked at his left and saw the young adult by his side and was smiling. His heart suddenly pound in excitement when he saw Tomo. Heart? Pounding? What was he excited about?

Kazuha's ears turned red in embarrassment when he questioned himself.

"I apologize from walking away earlier, My cat was hungry so I bought her food first while waiting for you." Tomo explained. Kazuha narrowed his eyes in guilt. Guilt? Why was he feeling guilty? It's not like they're traveling companions. Kazuha shook his head and stated it was okay.

"It was my fault. I got impatient and decided to walk away." He lied. He wasn't the type to be impatient, He simply left because he thought that tomo left him. Kazuha looked away and stared at the proud building of kamisato estate.

Tomo: What's that? You want another dad?

*Growls*

Yuki: No! Eat that new dad of mine!
