Summer Bradlee is a junior at the local high school in Kentucky. She's 5'0, has long brown hair, and is a Gemini. She's a lesbian but only her dads and brother know. Yes, I said dads. She's one of the school's loners, she doesn't fit in with anyone. She has a crush on two girls in her grade, Ag Mcdaniels and Maihua Lee. Two of the most famous TikTok lesbians in her school, she's also intimidated by their height. Her father divorced her mother when she was young, her stepdad Chance came into her life when she was around 9.

"Wake up Elixia." Her stepdad never uses my middle name unless I fucked up badly. "It was Maren, not me." I shot up scared. Maren is my brother who is already out of high school but still lives with his family because college dorms aren't that nice. "You're not in trouble, just late for school. Get ready, your friends are outside." Dad said walking outside. I don't have any friends besides Maren and Lucelia, I shrugged thinking it was Lucy. I put on my black ripped skinny jeans that made my thighs pop, a f---k love shirt, and a black jean jacket. I put my converse on and grabbed my backpack and ran downstairs. "Money for school is on the table, have a great day." Dad said walking out of the house with his laptop case. He's a technical engineer, if something is wrong with any type of technology new or old he can fix it.

I grabbed the money and walked outside to see Maihua's car. I walked up to the car and Ag rolled down the backseat window. "Get in, your gonna be late if you don't." She smiled and opened the door. I didn't have time to ask questions so I just got into the car and put my money in the inside jacket pocket. "Good morning, did you have something to eat?" Avery asked giving me a slight smile. "Uh, good morning to you too. And no I didn't eat. I skip breakfast and dinner." I said taking out my phone and checking the time it was 6:56. I got pissed off that dad woke me up this early. "Do we have time to pick up Syd and get food?" Avery asked. Maihua nodded and pulled into McDonald's drive-thru. "One hashbrown and a medium caramel frappe." She said I was confused as to how she knew my order. I got my food and ate it silently after saying thank you.

We got to school and I got away from the girls as quick as possible since the popular kids would be all upon them. I walked into the cafeteria and sat down at a table closest to the doors and waited for Lucelia but she didn't show. Ag and Maihua sat down next to me and smiled as if they were plotting something. "Uh, can I help you?" I asked in a monotone voice. "i wanted to ask you if you wanted to hang out with the group at my place tonight." Ag said putting her hand on mine, I quickly moved it away in fear of someone seeing. "Your super hot and I would love to but I'm straight and I really don't think hanging out with you is gonna help my reputation." I said standing up. "You know you're wearing a pride bracelet right?" Maihua asked smiling. "Ughhhh, fine. I'll hang out with you but don't get all...-" I was cut off by Olivia pushed me away from Ag. "Back off whore." She said standing in front of Ag who looked pissed off. "Aren't you the one that fucked the entire soccer team, like come on? SOCCER? Also, didn't you fuck Mr. Jedinks for extra credit?" I asked getting in her face. "At least guys actually want me. Nobody loves you." She said through gritted teeth. Ag went to say something but I stopped her and gestured for her to move. She backed up away from Olivia when my fist met her face.

She stumbled back and started calling me names, I kicked her once and she fell onto the ground crying. "Don't fucking mess with me. Do I make myself clear?" I said bending down to her level and putting my hand around her throat, applying little but enough pressure to scare her. "Yes, it won't happen again." She said weakly. I felt bad so I helped her up, "Play with fire you get burned." I whispered in her ear then walked away as she cried into her friend's shoulder. Ag and the others caught up to me when I went to my locker. "What do you want?" I asked turning around still pissed off from what happened with Olivia. "We wanted to check on you, actually Ag and Maihua wanted to. I only came because I was bored." Avery said standing in front of the girls. I slammed my locker shut making one of the girls in the hallway jump, I couldn't care less. "Just stay out of my life before I end up hurting you.." I said with tears in my eyes. Pushing Ag and Maihua away made me sad. I turned to walk away but someone grabbed each of my hands. I turned around and saw Ag and Maihua grabbing my hands. "Pushing us away won't stop us from worrying." Ag said squeezing my hand. Maihua nodded in agreement and looked at me with pleading eyes.
