Wanda needed to get out. She did not know where, but she couldn’t stay in the same building as Natasha, let alone sit in her room where they shared a hallway and common space. She decided she would go outside where people would have a harder time finding her, Natasha specifically, not that she thought she would come after her once she stayed in the gym after their disagreement earlier. Wanda quickly walked to her room, grabbed her notebook, and shrugged on a jacket before quickly walking out of her room and out of the compound.

Wanda wandered aimlessly around the grounds before finding a tree she could sit under without being seen from the compound windows. She leaned her back up against the tree, opened her journal, and began to write.

Pietro, you would think I’m rather silly, I think, but I am sitting under a tree writing to a dead person about a stupid crush, so you’re probably right. A crush; I think maybe it started out like that with Natasha. There’s no denying that she is gorgeous but she also has a way to make you feel like you’re the only person in the room. I wouldn’t be surprised if everyone here had a crush on her at some point.

It’s different than that though. I don’t know when it changed, but it did, and it did HARD. She’s the first thing I think about in the morning. Stop, I already know you’re thinking I’m cheesy, but it’s true. I healed her, Pietro. I didn’t even know I did it until she told me. I just cared about her so much and I hated seeing her in pain and then I healed her. And then today. I entered her mind and the things I saw, the things I felt. She denied it and brushed it aside but I know it wasn’t false like she said it was. It was too real to be faked.

I think I should feel sad, but I just feel angry. I’m so angry, Pietro. She flirts and tells me she cares about me and then I see and feel what she feels about me and she denies it. I don’t know wh

Wanda’s hands were shaking so much from the pent up anger that she had to stop writing mid-sentence. She needed a release and she needed it soon. Wanda placed the book down and paced around the area, going deeper into the denser area of the compound grounds before coming to a large tree.

All of the anger and frustration came to the front of her mind and she let it take over. She released her magic in quick bursts over and over again at the large tree. Wood chips flew in every direction, but she did not stop. Her feelings pushed her on, powers moving from bursts to a steady stream of red, plunging after the tree until a loud thump broke her from her trance. She looked up to see she had snapped the tree in half without even realizing it in the moment.

Wanda glanced around at the wood chips stuck in the ground before realizing she was in pain. She looked down to see a wood chip sticking out of her abdomen, pierced right through her jacket. Actually, Natasha’s red leather jacket she borrowed in Sokovia and never gave back. She laughed at the irony of being hurt while wearing something of Natasha’s. Of course this would happen. She couldn’t even let out her feelings to an inanimate object without being hurt. Without being hurt and being reminded once again of the woman who caused the outburst in the first place.

Wanda removed the wood chip with a strangled tug, eyes widening at the amount of blood leaving the wound. She did not realize it had been so bad before, though she figured the shock of it happening was still in effect which was why she didn’t really feel anything.

Wanda rushed as quickly as she could back to the compound, hand placed on the wound to add pressure and prevent more blood from pouring out. She got within distance before she noticed Vision floating around the entrance. She called out to him with a strangled cry and stumbled to the ground. Vision was by her side in a second and picked her up before carrying her to the med lab as fast as he could take her after seeing the blood still steadily flowing from the wound.
