You Are Not Alone

I wake up so wet.

"Ahhh!", I scream.

I look at what's happening and see Michael still in his pajamas holding a super soaker.

"Good morning.", he says laughing.

He stops and sits on the edge of the bed. I sit up. I immediately hug him and he hugs me back.

"Hahahaha! You're wet!", I say and laugh.

He grabs water balloons from a bag and keeps throwing them at me.

"You must be kidding!", I say and laugh.

I keep running after him in the whole house.

"Get ready, we have college.", he says.

"Okay.", I say.

I get closer to him. I wrap my arms around him and hug him tightly. He hugs me back. I peck his cheek.

"Good morning. Be prepared for this run if you wake me up everyday with a super soaker.", I say laughing.

"Good morning. Don't worry, you'll be already soaked that you can't run.", he says laughing.

"Well, I'll go get ready.", I say.

I go to the room. I do morning hygiene and take a quick shower. I wear a cropped gray hoodie, dark ripped jeans and white sneakers. I apply some light makeup and spray some perfume. I'm actually so fast at getting ready since I always have to change my clothes fast in photoshoots. I get out of my room but Michael is still not ready.

"You're making us late, Michael. My teacher will be so mad at me.", I tease him.

"Don't worry, I'll talk to him.", he teases back.

He gets out of his bedroom in a red button up shirt, black pants, black ankle boots, a red pea coat and a black fedora.

"You look nice.", he says.

"Thanks. So do you.", I say.

We go to his car. He drives off.

"Michael, how will we go to college together?", I ask.

"It's okay.", he says.

"No, I don't want you losing your job.", I say.

"I can drop you at campus and go there. You can walk from campus to college then.", he says.

"Okay.", I say.

He stops at Starbucks and he buys himself breakfast and I buy myself breakfast. He keeps driving and drops my on campus. Just as he drives off, I see Addie and Maddie walking towards me.

"Hey, girl, where have you been?", Addie asks.

"I was at home.", I say.

"Why? I thought you'll stay this weekend here.", she says.

"Yeah, sorry. I have to stay home till the end of the year.", I say and nudge her

"Oh, okay.", she says.

I don't even bother to say good morning to Maddie.

"Who's that man who you were in his car?", Maddie asks.

"What? We're you with a man in his car?", Addie asks.

Thank goodness, at least Addie didn't see him. So I can lie now.

"That's Michael, a friend of mine.", I say.

"A friend?", Maddie asks smirking.

"Yeah, that's what I said. I have to go to my lecture. Thank you so much.", I say and walk off.
