The two of them are still lost in the sweet moment and time they are having as if there's only the two of them in the world and not even a meteor falling from the sky would bother them. That is until-

"Zhongli! Shift is over" the door burst open to reveal the stripper known as Yaksha at the door frame. He froze, stunned to see another person in there with Zhongli since this place is for staff only

"Who are you and what are you doing with Zhongli?" He growled angrily
Childe's raised his hand up in defense and tried to string words in order to clear himself
"Calm down Xiao, I invited him here. He's the winner of the bidding contest. Also, please knock on the door next time. I've warned you about that many times. You might accidentally walk in on me at an indecent state"

Xiao apologizes to Zhongli for the small misbehavior. He believes him about Childe being a good person but he's still on guard with the presence of someone he doesn’t know in the room. Childe decided to excuse himself in order to not make things awkward for the better of things

“I’ll be going home first then” Childe got up and waved his hand as he exited the room

"See you soon'' Zhongli bid his farewell with a smile and returned the wave. Xiao walked over to Zhongli and sat down at the chair that Childe previously just got off from

"So, did he try to do anything weird to you? If he ever does anything you hate, tell me. I will hunt him down and make him pay. He won't see the end of-"
Xiao was cut off by Zhongli petting his head to calm him down which works perfectly

"Don't worry Xiao, I can take care of myself. Thank you for always looking out for me"
Xiao became flustered at the friendly gesture Zhongli gave him and looked up to the taller man

"O-of course. You helped me so much and saved me from my lowest point. I don't want anything bad to happen to you. I look up to you so much Zhangwo"
Zhongli reassured him again that things will be just fine

“I’ll be sure to inform you if anything happens and you don’t have to call me by that tittle you know”
Xiao sigh and finally accepts Zhongli's choice. After cleaning things up and their rooms, the two of them grab their belongings before leaving the bar to return to their respective homes

Friday rolls in
Childe has been waiting for this day impatiently. His days at the office has just been about him counting down the days, hours, minutes and seconds to this exact moment
