I groaned when the light hit my face. Rubbing my eyes furiously, I looked around me. The room felt unfamiliar.

Where was I?

Oh, wait... I slept here last night. I facepalmed myself for being stupid. Sleeping in a comfortable room after many days has messed up my brain. Looking at it, I realized last night's sleep was probably the best one I've had in a while. There was no fear of dying or animals attacking me out of nowhere. In a way, it felt nice. Maybe it wasn't such a bad idea coming here. I could stay here longer if I wanted to. But would the boys be okay with that? I doubt it.

Sighing, I got out of bed and trudged to the bathroom to freshen up. It was a long day ahead so I better ready myself up to face at least half of it.

While I brushed my teeth -- and took my time doing so -- I thought back to the past few days. They were quite eventful, to say the least. Reminiscing my torn-up past, I'm suddenly reminded of the light I keep seeing. It was something out of the blue since I know there are no cars here nor would someone be using the torch in the middle of a deserted forest. Which led me to think about why this house existed in the first place. And that too in the most uncivilized places of all. Do they not go for grocery runs or something?

My thoughts came to a halt when I heard someone knocking on my door. Yelling a 'coming', I finished up and walked out of the bathroom towards the door. Opening it I found a smiling sunoo standing in front of me.

"Good morning! Hope you had a good night," He exclaimed in an overly joyous way. I'm surprised he's always in a good mood. Imagine feeling happy no matter what. I think I'd want that.

"Good morning sunoo. I slept well. How are you?" I smiled, his contagious smile already getting to me.

"Oh I'm always good, don't worry. By the way, breakfast's ready so I was told to fetch you. Do you mind coming downstairs?"

"Yeah sure, let's go. And there's no need for you to be that formal with me. You look the same age as me if not older."

Sunoo looked down and blushed. "Okay..."

I grinned at his pink cheeks and followed him down the stairs to the dining room.

All the boys were already there but as I sat in my seat I saw two new faces. I hadn't seen them last night so I glanced at jake in front of me asking him silently who they were. The two strangers however didn't spare me a glance and were busy eating their food.

"Heeseung. Jay. " jake called out to the two boys. "I have someone you should meet." They both looked up at Jake and then at me. Their eyes furrowed and I supposed they weren't informed about my presence beforehand.

"Who is she?" Jay was the first one to speak up. His tone was demanding and it scared me. I suddenly felt bad for jake to have to introduce me to everyone. He must feel as awkward as I do especially when the others are not as appreciative about it.

Before he could say anything, I decided to do the sacred work myself.

" Hi." I smiled at both of them. "I'm Minyoung."

Suddenly the sound of a chair scraping the floor filled the silence. And before I could comprehend what was going on, I saw Heeseung walking out of the room. It didn't take me a second to figure out he wasn't a fan of me either. But he seemed okay with me before I said anything. Was it my voice that ticked him off? I'm sure I don't sound like a dying hyena though. Next to the abandoned spot was Jay, his eyes wide and his mouth hanging open as he stared at me. He looked like he had seen a ghost.

"You are Min-Minyoung?" he stuttered.

"Umm... yes?"

Was my name the problem then?

"I TOLD YOU GUYS THIS WAS NOT A GOOD IDEA! SHE DOESN'T BELONG HERE AND SHE DOESN'T NEED TO STAY FOR TOO LONG!" Jungwon suddenly started yelling. "WHY DID YOU EVEN BRING HER NIKI??!! IT ISN'T LIKE YOU'RE THE KINDEST PERSON TO EXIST ON EARTH! WHY DID YOU NOT LET HER ROT OUTSIDE??!!"

Wow. That was rude.

"Shut it Jungwon! Don't take it out on Niki! It's not like he knew who she was! And you being a dick to her won't help the situation either." Jake said to Jungwon angrily, who was now standing, glaring at me with hatred and disgust.

" You see that Minyoung? You're ruining us! You're ruining everything! You're nothing but a pest." Jungwon seethed.

I flinched as he threw his chair back and stomped out of the room just like Heeseung did.

I was on the brink of tears. My whole body was shaking with fear and I couldn't think straight. What did I do for him to hate me like that? Is my mere existence unbearable for them? First my parents, then Jungwon, and now Heeseung. Well almost everyone except for Niki, Jake, and Sunoo seemed to hate me with their guts.

"Minyoung, I'm sorry he didn't mean it like that- " Before Jake could continue, I ran out of there back to my room. I slammed the door shut and slid down on the floor. Soon the tears I tried so hard to hold back, streamed down my face. I started bawling, shaking as sobs racked my whole body. I was a fool to think I finally found a place to stay and I was the biggest idiot to think that maybe I could see a future with my new friends.

It didn't take me long enough to realize I made a big mistake.

Wiping my face harshly, I stood up and opened the window. Glancing down I saw it wasn't too high and I'd probably survive with a few scratches and cuts. Nothing new to me. Taking a deep breath, I flung myself over the edge of the window and jumped. My body rolled to the ground as I fell. Although it hurt, it was nothing compared to the pain in my heart. I limped my way out of the thick bushes surrounding the house and walked along the pathway to reach the waterfall.

Looking at it now, it was nothing beautiful. It didn't calm my heart and give me peace like before. The sound of water thrashing was now a pain to my ears. Such a shame I couldn't enjoy the beauty of this place anymore.

Not glancing back, I walked away. But not without a lingering feeling in my mind.
