Devastated to hear today that we have lost our Hudderz 🙁
Una Stubbs was a beloved actress and while I haven't yet seen any of her other performances, what I do know (in my opinion) is that she was the best Mrs Hudson I've seen in a Sherlock adaptation.
Una had us rooting for her the second we met her Mrs Hudson in the show. She's made us laugh a lot and taught us that one should never (ever) be underestimated.
While I'm sure a lot of us would love a Series 5, I don't think it will and don't think it should happen. Una helped make the show what it was, gave it a lighter note, sometimes a sterner note, and gave BC's Sherlock a second motherly figure - without Una, it simply wouldn't be the same.
Our Una Stubbs - our Hudderz - will be sorely missed but will most certainly live on in our hearts and our writings.
Rest In Peace, Una, thank you for giving us a wonderful and truly memorable performance as Mrs Hudson ❤🙏
