"Good morning Kio how are you and the new family member doing? " sarada asked entering kio's house, sarada has being visiting kio since she found out about her being pregnant.
Kio smiled and dried her wet hands on a towel and answered sarada happily "hey sarada, we are doing great and you?"
"Great great..... ummm lord seventh requested for your presence at his office he seemed worry? Maybe you should go and talk to him"
Kio agreed with sarada that she should go talk to naruto and taking advantage of the opportunity she would tell him that she was pregnant since no one knows just the two sanins, sarada and sasaki. What was the worst thing naruto could tell her? Maybe one of his pranks went wrong and he was over exaggerating like always.
Arriving to naruto's office she walked inside; to her luck naruto was alone sitting in his chair doing paper work and signing papers rapidly but he seemed a little frustrated.
"Good morning lord seventh I have news for you" naruto looked up towards kio's direction but he didn't say anything, no funny remarks nor facial expression but Kio Pay no attention and continue "The news are that I'm eight weeks pregnant" she smile wildly
But naruto just frowned and stood up walking towards Kio and hugging her tightly, it wasn't a congratulation hug nor a happy one. It was a tight one like if he was sorry.
"I'm happy for you Kio but I have bigger problems know that your pregnant or that I found out" he whispered to her
Kio looked up to the blonde hokage who was still hugging her tightly and hiding his eyes from her by closing them "what type of problems??" She asked
For a second naruto wasn't going to tell her but she has the right to know the truth "sasaki is being hold captive by a group of men and.... And we don't know if he would make it out alive"
"W-what??? That's a really fucked up prank naruto" she chuckle pushing naruto away from her
Naruto and Kio locked eyes together, he wasn't lying "kio.... The plan was that sasuke, you and me would go and rescue him since you know his chakra and all but with you being pregnant is obvious that you'll be staying in here while me and sasuke bring him back"
"NO" she said in a loud tone pushing naruto again farther away from her "he's my son naruto I should go, I need to" she said on the verge of tears
Naruto hold Kio by the shoulders and looked down, he himself wanted to cry but he needed to stay strong "listen Kio, I will bring sasaki back. I love him not as much as you do since your his mother but I still have strong strings attached to my nephew and I will bring him back to your arms I promise but..."
"I want to go naruto.... I can't live without him, he's all I have. My son..... my baby" she was trembling and hot tears run down her pink cheeks. She was suppose to receive sasaki today and eat at the barbecue place after his mission. This situation seemed like a bad dream... a really bad one
"Right know you have another life inside of you and you need to take care of him/her kio. I'm taking kakashi with me, As his sensei, he also knows him well don't worry I'll bringing him back" he cleaned her tears with his rough knuckles
"It's not going to take you three years like with sasuke right?" She joked trying to ease the mood
Naruto laughed a little bit and cracked a smile "No, I promise it would take maximum one day okay?"
She nodded and naruto left but before leaving he told her to wait at the entrance of Konoha while he went to get sasuke and kakashi.
For the first time in the sixteen years she has lived in konoha, she listened to naruto and walked to the gates to wait for the three men.
Every step she took felt heavy, never on her life Kio had this type of feeling; the feeling of loosing someone who you loved more than your own self. This was a different pain but she believed in Naruto's words after all he was the hokage.
After a couple of minutes the three ninjas arrived, naruto just nodded at her and walked straight forward, kakashi had a worried expression on his eyes and he wasn't reading his book but before leaving he kissed kio's temple telling her to not worry and lastly sasuke...
He stoped in front of her and hugged her tightly whispering to her ear "I just got back to his life some Months ago but.... I-.... He's my son, our son and I feel the pain that your feeling Kio. Im saving him, I promise I will bring him back to you, for your happiness, for your well being and for our broken family okay?"
"Please sasuke..... please bring sasaki back to me" at this point her cries were louder and hopeless it pained sasuke hearing her like this, so broken.
"Shhh don't cry Kio, it breaks my heart hearing you like this, we are going to bring sasaki back home I swear I'll bring him back" he kissed her head while hugging her tiny figure with his arm.
Kio nodded and cleaned her nose on his shirt before sasuke left towards naruto and kakashi. He didn't wanted to leave her alone but he had no choice if he wanted to see That sweet smile of hers again.
She loved sasaki more than she has ever love anyone and it was reasonable after all she is his mother and the love of a mother is incomparable.
Naruto in the other hand was conflicted, he didn't wanted to tell kakashi and sasuke the real reason of why Kio wasn't coming, maybe she didn't want anyone to know or maybe she had just found out about her pregnancy.
So he decided to keep it to himself for now.
