Lunchtime at Hollywood Arts— like everything else— was a strange and unusual place. Something Tori Vega learned when she first arrived and Festus yelled at her in his native tongue for ordering the nachos instead of 'the special'Then snapped at her again because they ran out of ' the special'
So you'd think that fact alone would keep Gideon from questioning the things she heard during lunch
"Hey, you know where I could buy a pair of ballet slippers?" Andre questioned as he tossed his lunch on the table
Gideon sighed putting down her half eaten burger to stare at her friend in confusion, "You know you'd think by now I'd learn to stop questioning the things you people say but— why do you need ballet slippers, Andre"
" First do you guys know a place or not?" The boy asked again looking between his friends
"No I don't, but I know where you can get yourself a pretty skirt and some lip gloss" Beck joked grinning at the unamused musician
Rex laughed "that was a good one, Beck— lip gloss" Robbie raised Rex's for a high five putting it down after an awkward stare down
Rolling her eyes Gideon turned her attention back to Andre "Again— why do you need ballet slippers?"
"Cause I signed up for ballet" Andre shrugged nonchalantly
Raising an eyebrow, Gideon took a sip of her drink choosing not to remind the boy that he literally told her earlier that same week that he didn't consider ballet a real dance category—until he overheard a few Junior girls talking about the ballet class they just finished
"Whoa, whoa, isn't that kind of..." the curly haired boy paused to awkwardly look in the blonde's direction "—Girlie?"
"So was that bike you rode to school on yesterday but you don't hear us complaining 'bout it, do you?" The petite teen snapped back earning laughs from Beck and Andre
"I told you my bike had a flat tire so I had to use my next door neighbor's" Robbie hissed at the unconvinced actress next to him
"Robbie stop talking" Rex snapped hanging his head in embarrassment
"Yep. Just one big room full of girls...and me," Andre smirked "you guys picking up what I'm putting down?"
Now this would be the part in the story where Gideon— being the amazing person and friend that she is— would tell her dimwitted friends that barely any girls still signed up for ballet due to the high amounts of boys who only joined to gawk at them in their leotards.
That would be the right thing to do, right? But Gideon didn't want to do the right thing—she wanted to cause chaos.
Beck and Rex agreed nodding along with Andre's attempt at gaining a new love interest— oh yeah Gideon was definitely choosing chaos today
"I don't understand" Robbie confessed to his friends
"You wanna take this one?" Gideon asked Beck nodding towards the confused teen
The actor nodded clearing his throat "A lot of girls... who dance...all in one room.." Beck trailed off slowly hoping Robbie would catch on "... with him" he finished pointing towards Andre
Robbie silently blinked trying to process Beck's explanation before suddenly laughing as he caught up to the gist of things and understood what Andre wanted to happen
"Took you long enough, big guy" Gideon teased patting, Robbie on his back
"Would you mind if maybe I signed up,too?"
