*chirp* he starts flying down the hall, we all look at each other. And walk after the bird. It's quiet. I turn over to see luz and mittens holding hands. Looks like mittens found her one.

"I hear someone" luz whispers as we go to hide around a corner

"Ugh, that golden guard has to ruin everything." We hear a voice say as it walks off, we peek around the corner as we see a little demon thing walk down the hall into a room

"Who was that?" I say as we get up

"that's kikimora the person who tried to kill hunter last time. And my guess is hunter is in that room"

"But how do we get in undetected?" mittens asks

"Follow me," luz says as she leads us past the room, I hear something, so I go up to the door and press my ear against it

"Everything has been set in place, your plan should work sir" I hear hunter's voice

"Good." I hear another voice say I could only assume to be Belos's

"Ed!" I hear a whisper across the hall, I turn to see luz motioning for me. I stare back at the door.

"I'll be back I promise," I say as I walk over to luz

"We should be able to get in from the back" luz explains, mittens turns to me and puts a hand on my shoulder

"I'm sure he's fine, I mean he's the golden guard" I turn to her

"But you haven't seen how scared he is of belos." She gives me a wary look

"Actually, I have."

"huh"

"I didn't tell you the full thing that happened when hunter attacked me, he had attacked me for the titan blood because if he didn't get it, he was scared belos would replace him." She looks down

"He just didn't want to disappoint him because he's all he has," she says

"Well, he has all of us now," luz says as she opens a door, she smiles at me

"We'll get him out of here I promise" as we walk in, I pull luz to the side

"If anything happens out there, you have to promise me you'll get hunter out no matter what." She looks at me with wide eyes

"ed. nothing like that is gonna happen. We're gonna get him out. And no ones gonna get hurt. Not on my watch."

"Promise me please."

"I promise." She looks over at amity who's peeking through the door.

"I know how much he means to you. I couldn't imagine losing amity." She looks back at me serious

"But if you die on my watch, I will murder you" I laugh

"I don't think that's how it works"

"Guys!" mittens calls over to us, we walk over and peek out with her

"Belos left its only hunter and kikimora now" we back away

"So, we just got to get through Kiki," luz says

"We got this!" I stare at the door. We're so close. But this seems too easy. We sneak through the door and hide behind a wall

"Ed, can you make an illusion to distract Kiki or lead her away?"

"Um sure," I say as I twirl my finger and make an illusion of belos

"Belos! Your back!" Kiki says as I see hunter look up

"Uncle I thought you needed to do something"

"I need to speak with Kiki privately" I make the illusion say, as he walks with Kiki out of the room

"Luz now" I whisper, luz closes and locks the door as I break the illusion

"what's happening!?" I hear hunter say as he looks at us

"we're getting you out" mittens says

"You made the wrong decision coming here."

"Hunter please." He looks at me.

"I told you to stay away ed. you can't be here." Luz turns to me and whispers

"what's the scar across his face?"

"I think belos did that," I whisper back

"Oh, come on share with the class," Hunter says with a giggle, why is he acting like this.

"You know Kiki is gonna alert belos, so you should run off before he gets here," he says with a smile.

"Hunter, please we're trying to help," luz says

"Help with what I'm fine!?"

"You know what we mean. This place isn't good for you. Do you see what you've become!?"

"I've always been like this! This place didn't make me an asshole I've always been one"

"So, you wanna stay here and feel useless?"

"I'm not useless! I have a purpose here!"

"Oh, so your just gonna stay here and help belos!?"

"Yes!" this argument is going nowhere.

"Hunter," I say, he turns to me

"Ed I'm sorry I should've never been in your life."

"don't say that!"

"I shouldn't have brought you into all of this. You could've been living happily without me."

"Happy!? I'm happy with you! You make everything better! You're the first person that's ever made me feel like this!" he looks at me

"Ed, do you mean that."

"Yes of course I do. I love you, hunter. so please just come with us" he walks towards us, then I feel a sharp pain in my chest.

"You should've stayed away when you had the chance." I hear Belos say
