Paxton's PovIt had been a week since Lexi had told me what happened. She told me about the girl i think her name was Kenzie.
She'd never met her but some how she knew about her past.
I didn't want to make it worse for lexi so i decided not to bring up the topic unless she does.
*6 months later*
still Paxton's pov
Today was the day. I was completely in love with her and i was going to let her know.
Over the past couple of months it's been amazing. I've spent almost every day with her and her family.
I finally figured out when i truly loved her.
*Flashback*
"baby can we go to the mall i wanted to get new forces. Oh and i can get you some so we can watch!" she screamed a bit to loud. I laughed as we sat there enjoying our lunch. We'd decided on canes.
We were sitting outside and she had turned her. I followed my eyes to see where she was looking. There was this family.
A man who looked to be about 60 ish and he was sitting next to a little girl around 10.
They stood there trying to get money from people for food.
"Cmon let's go." Lexi said. She grabbed my hand as we thrown away the trash. "I'll be right back." she said.
I nodded as she went back into the restaurant.
She came out 5 minutes later with bags of food and some drinks.
"Baby i'm not hungry anymore and i don't want this for dinner." I said rubbing my stomach thinking about how much i just ate.
"It's not for us." She laughed.
She made her way across the busy street jogging across making sure there were no cars.I quickly followed her doing a double check.
"Hey." She said. Oh know i understood."I saw you guys sitting here so i though you might have wanted some lunch." She said with that amazing smile on her face.
As the people thanked her i stared at her as she speaker. I started to notice things i wouldn't have.
I noticed how when she would laugh her front lip would go up and the sides of her eyes would crinkle.
I noticed how when she was happy she would laugh and at the end she would make this little snort that i loved.
I noticed that sparkle in her eye when she saw other people happy. I knew that she would think it wouldn't matter how much she'd have spent she would do it a million times if she knew they were okay for at least tonight.
And i noticed how when she saw somebody at there worst she would do anything to bring them up. When she helped people she would go above.
As i really listened to everything i found out she was speaking spanish.
"donde viven ustedes?" she asked.
(where do you guys live.)"Hay una gasolinera a un kilómetro y medio de aquí. Amamos detrás de allí." said the father.
(There's a gas station about a mile or so away from here. We love behind there.)
They soon started speaking back to english.
"How long will you guys be out here?" Lexi asked.
"About another hour or so."
"Okay great i'll be back." She said grabbing my hand and walking us to the car.
"Baby where are we going." I asked.
"We're going to go get some stuff."
***
It had been about half an hour or so as we made our way back.I saw as she want back to them.
"Hey guys." They said hello back as she continues talking." I'm so sorry i wish there was more i could do for you guys but i did have enough money to get you guys a few things. I would also like to give you guys a ride home if your okay with that."
They agreed and smiled at us as they made there way into her black jeep.
They gave us the address and we arrived at there "house." In reality it was a tarp with a pillow.
"I know what it's like to be less fortunate but luckily my family and myself got back up on our feet and i was lucky enough to have a rough over my head." She smiled.
"I wish i could help you guys out more but for know this was as best as i could do." She handed them so much eveb i was overwhelmed.
She gave them 2 sleeping bags with stuffing inside. 2 warm blankets. 1 tent large enough to fit them both. She also got them both a back pack. The mans was black and the little girls had my little pony on it. She also handed them a chain for there bike just in case. And atleast a month or so worth of food so they wouldn't starve. She also got them a plug in stove that they could connect to the outlet. She also got the little girl 3 pairs of clothes as well as more pajamas and shoes and the same for the father. She had finally got the little girl a couple of toys so she'd have something to do.
" I hope you guys like it. Oh and i know it's hard getting transportation all of the time so here." She had handed them 2 bus passes at would last the rest of the year.
"Miss thank you so much. You have no idea how much this means to me and my daughter. I promise i will do better." The man at this point had tears rolling down his eyes. The girl was in full blown tears and was hugging her.
"Oh one last thing. Here." She said as she handed them $200." That's the rest please don't buy anything unnecessary. " she smiled as they thanked her one last time.
They said there good byes as we parted ways.
In that moment i noticed one more thing. She didn't care about how much she'd just spent. As long as she knew they were good she smiled just thinking about it. In that moment i knew i was completely in love with this girl.
*End of flash back*
