This chapter isn't one you necessarily have to read if you aren't a huge fan of devi. However if you forgot Devi isn't crazy in my version of this book.

It's a shorter chapter and focuses more on Devi. Happy reading if you do <3

Devi's Pov

"I already said i was up mom!" I yelled downstairs. She was constantly on my ass lately just cause i missed one class.

I through on my light washed ripped jeans and a white shirt with forces.

I walked downstairs and out the  door not paying any mind my mom calling my name.

*Lunch*

"I think we should go dress shopping this weekend." I said as we sat down for lunch.

The girls and myself agreed we should just sit at our normal seats in the hot pocket but avoid the guys.

It's been a day and i still can't stop thinking of Marcus. I know we were meant to ignore them until they decided to ask us to prom but i just wanted to talk to him.

"Guys i don't know how much longer we should keep avoiding them. They'll be here for lunch and Lexi me and you haven't talked to them in 2 days." i said exhausted.

"We gotta show them we aren't just an accessory guys." she said.

It was only Fabiola Lexi and I since Eleanor had already been asked. On top of that he asked her to be his girlfriend.

I wanted to rant to someone about this but i couldn't. It was Lexi's brother and she wouldn't get it, Fabiola was to busy campaigning and Eleanor wouldn't get it.

I nodded after what she'd said and continued on with my lunch. The guys still hadn't came to lunch so it was just us.

As i sat there eating my lunch i started thinking. Why didn't he ask me to be his girlfriend. We were close and we've kissed a couple of times and we've definitely hung out enough to think we were dating.

I started flowing through all the possible reasons until i came up with one. He was embarrassed of me. It only made since. Why would he want to hangout with me outside of school and if we talked in school it was with our friends.

Thinking about this i let a tear roll down my cheek. If he really was embarrassed of me why would he make me think so.

It really didn't help that my period came last night and at this point my tears became more noticeable.

"I'm gonna go i'll see you guys later." I got up from my chair getting ready to leave until i heard music.

"Devi look!" Lexi yelled pointing across the court yard and to someone coming towards us.

As soon as i saw it i smiled. One by one a member of the football team came up to me handing me a rose.

I accepted them all until it was the last.

I smiled as i saw Marcus at the end standing there with a board in his hand and a teddy beard as tall as me. "Devi vishwakumar will you dance your way to home coming with me." he smiled.

I let one last year fall before i made my way towards him." Yea." I said as he looked down at me.

"I'm sorry it took so long for me to ask you. But will you make me the happiest person at sherman oaks and finally be my girlfriend." He said. I smiled bigger than i could have possibly imagined.

"YES!" I yelled and brought him in for a kiss. This kiss was different, it was slow and passionate. As i pulled away i smiled back at him admiring the sign he'd made with his chicken scratch hand writing.
