**Carina's POV**
Andy just called us from Joe's saying she's "Mildly functional" which seemed arguable.

We're going to pick her up, Maya's in the back seat wrapped in a blanket (Because she refused to wear a coat) mouthing along to music.

We pull up to the bar and I text Andy telling her that we're here.

I watch her stumble up and into the car. I open the window

"Hey, get in the back. I can smell you from here" I say out the window

She struggles so much to open the door that I ask Maya to open it from the inside

"Mildly functional huh?" I say as she gets in the car

"My mind is perfectly fine, my body does not seem to think the same though" she says

"Oh hey Maya" she finally notices Maya as she buckles in

"Hey! Wanna listen to music?"

"Yeah, just no shrieking music please"

"Ok" Maya replies unplugging her headphones and turning up the music to a reasonable level.

We drive pleasantly for a bit before the next song comes on

"Honey came in and she caught me red handed creeping with the girl next door, picture this we were both butt naked bangin' on the bathroom floor" Maya sings it aloud as we both look at her in shock.

She seems unperturbed by our stares and keeps singing aloud. Eventually we went back to what we were doing.

"Mama?"

"Yes?"

"I wanna cuddle"

"I can't right now bambina, we're stuck in traffic and you're in the back seat"

"But I wanna cuddle" she protests

"How about you cuddle with Andy? She's sitting right next to you" I point out

"Ok" she says immediately attacking Andy wrapping her arms around her.

Andy just sits there acting like she's a hostage. Andy eventually hugs her back.

We've dropped Andy off and now we're in the living room coloring, well i'm reading an article, Maya's coloring.

As i'm finishing up one of the last paragraphs I feel something on my arm, I brush it off, it's probably Maya's hair.

I continue the article until I finish, I look at my arm and see scribbles all over my arm.

"Maya!"

She giggles,

"Yeah?"

"Why did you draw all over my arm?"

"Fun"

"Next time just use the paper, ok"

"Ok"

I look over at the kitchen for ONE second, and I see her drawing on my other arm.

"Maya. Stop."

"No"

"Ok, no more markers then. If you're not going to use them properly, you can't use them at all"

I take them and put them away.

She pouts about it for five minutes, then says she's hungry. As I'm putting food on the stove I feel her drawing on my arm again. This time with a pen from the drawer.

"That's it Maya, time out. You have had a warning and chose to ignore it."

I take the pen from her and pick her up. I take her over to the bedroom,

"Ok, you have to stay here for 4 minutes, alright. I'm still here, i'll be outside the door"

I start a timer on my phone and listen through the door, she doesn't cry, but by the end she's sniffling and whimpering.

I enter the room going over to her

"You were in time out because you didn't listen when I said to stop drawing on my arms. Do you understand why you were in time out?"

"...yes, I didn't listen" she says tearfully

I hug her while she cries. Now I feel bad

"How about we go and watch a movie?"

She nods and puts her arms out. We spend the rest of the night doing this.
