S2,E8it was safe to say that solange and ivy were not planning to travel to Italy anymore—suddenly Spain was more appealing at the moment.
It was a day later after their loss and Solange stood on his doorstep, waiting for him to open the door.
Mason eventually rushed down from his shower, opening the door he was met by his girlfriend.
"Sorry I was in the shower" he grinned, taking a step away while she entered and closed the door behind her.
"I can tell" she referred to his wet hair, the white towel rested on his bare shoulders and the black trousers that hung loosely on his waist.
She was dressed in a short red dress since they were meeting a few friends at the club that night. Solange took a seat on the sofa, waiting for him to finish getting ready.
"Hey you know you don't have to be my date for Luca's wedding. I mean, by the time his wedding is taking place I suppose you'll be back with Mariah" She stated, while she fidgeted with the ring on her finger.
"Yeah" his reply echoed through the house as he rummaged through the closet by the entrance to find his shirt.
To be honest, she was disappointed by the fact that he agreed. But that was her intention when she asked the question. Solange felt as if she needed the reality check, the girl knew what she was getting herself into from the beginning.
"Ready to go?" He appeared at the entrance, while styling his hair a bit.
She nodded her head, following him out the door.
A few moments later they were seated in the crowded night club.
Declan sat next to Mason and next to him sat Jack with Sasha—his girlfriend.
Jadon and Marcus were in front of them, Marcus chatting to Raheem while Jadon lip-synced to the lil baby song to his—she assumed Instagram.
She stayed for a while and occasionally chatting to the WAGs present. Mason had his arm around her, she assumed it was muscle memory since she noticed him doing that whenever they sat next to each other.
Solange realized that this was probably the last of them before Mariah was back in the picture and Solange wouldn't have an excuse to be around him anymore.
She was saddened but refused to let that show. Her morning shift was still waiting for her the next day, this would be the last week of work before she could leave for vacation with Ivy.
"I'm gonna head home" She semi-yelled into his ear over the loud music.
"Already?" Mason yelled back in a confused tone.
Solange nodded and realized that people were looking so she gave him a tight hug and stood up to leave.
She only made it outside of the club when she felt his hand grip her arm gently and pull her back a bit.
Raising his eyebrows at him, she wondered why he followed her out.
"I'll give you a ride, I was getting a headache anyways"
The whole car ride was in silence. She couldn't tell if she was the awkward one or if he was thinking about something.
They finally stood on the sidewalk outside her apartment a short moment later.
Mason had both of his hands shoved into the pockets of his trousers. She was standing in front of him, now wearing his sweatshirt to shield herself from the summer-night-breeze.
"So, I guess I'll see you?" She chuckled, unsure as to why they were standing still.
He nodded "you look beautiful tonight, in case I forgot to tell you"
Solange pursed her lips to keep them from curling into a smile.
"Why? You always gotta say something to ruin the moment" Solange groaned, rolling her eyes jokingly.
"Oh am I ruining the moment now? Give me back my shirt then" He stepped closer to her, laughing as he tickled the sides of her stomach.
"Oi!" She laughed uncontrollably, pushing his arms back but of course the footballer was stronger. He engulfed her in a hug until the laughter died down.
Just like the other night he pulled away but this time he lifted her chin up with his index finger, making sure that they were locking eyes before he glanced down at her lips.
"Mason.." she trailed off as he inches closer.
Their lips met for the second time. Only this time Solange could practically feel herself melting at the touch.
She pulled him closer and he held onto her waist. Both of them not wanting to let go of each other.
Until they did and stood in silence. Staring into each other's eyes they started smiling.
"shit, I think I'm falling for you dollface" He chuckled.
"Was that like an unwritten rule, toothless?"
