Amy Scott was freaking out after the bad news she heard half an hour ago and she was seated in the same place staring at the wall with widened eyes. Feeling as if it was the first time she had blinked, her eye glances to the left where a small girl sits. This little creature her fiancé help created eight years ago.
Luna Selena Malinowski is the exact replica of Selim Curtis Malinowski and Amy had no doubt in her mind that she wasn't his child. The slight difference was the familiarity of her mother Lavanya Lorenzo who drop her off and left to return in a week's time.
Was this the universe sending karma her way since it was just last week she told Selim that she wasn't ready for a baby. He was ready anytime but she wasn't because her modeling career has been something major in her life like a marriage with Selim. They were one of California's best engaged couples at the moment without a single ounce of drama that the paparazzi would never know of but this beats it all.
Amy stares at the child who stares right back with an expressionless face. She would never expect Selim to be with a black or mixed women and he never spoke of it.
She was even more confused when this curvy, light skinned black female with thick frizzy hair on her head ring the doorbell to her home and this little girl standing right next to her. Jealousy wasn't a word to describe how she felt at the woman's beauty and figure that her skinny Victoria Secret's model body would put to shame. She wanted to cry, scream, swallow a few strong drinks or even threaten Selim, but did he know.
No words were exchanged between the two females that would be sharing this house. This large mansion that Selim brought and she regret not having a share in it or his money as yet by this disaster that is about to happen.
Amy's mouth opens to speak when she sees that the child has stood and starts walking away. Going in the direction of the kitchen and Amy follows incase she needs to call for backup but she was scared, who would she call. Her parents would understand but Selim's parents weren't her favourite and she weren't theirs.
With watchful eyes, the child search through her fiancé's kitchen like she was about to cook. She brought a chair from the dining room, removing ingredients from cupboards, refrigerator, pantry and drawers then went around to the sink. Unknown of what the child was doing, like a dumb supervisor Amy stood at a distance watching the seven years old girl cook.
They never exchanged words and leaving her to call her fiancé would be a problem if she returns and couldn't find her. Could she hurt herself? The pool or house wasn't child proof. Was the sex toys laying around an issue also? How long will it takes her to sleep? She didn't look tired but she sure looks like a ticking time bomb that a single word to her would cause an explosion.
Even the child has the same figure as the mother at such a young age. Which baby has such an ass behind them because that didn't look like diapers in those black leggings.
The meal she prepares by the stove had the house smelling like a restaurant. A vegetable, spaghetti and cheese salad with pieces of bread on the side. The girl even had the nerve to dish her own meal, sits facing Amy while eating her meal without offering any and lick her lips from the taste. It had Amy's mouth watering at the little tease but her anger was still there, impatiently waiting for Selim to walk through that door.
One thing the universe agrees with her on and Selim did open the door.
"Babe!" He calls, she could hear both the tiredness and happiness in his voice. He has finally arrived at home after a long day of work and being stuck in traffic for a few minutes while he was starving.
Selim knew Amy wasn't the one to cook and since their chef was sick, he would be making dinner for them tonight but the smell of something amazing reaches his nostrils.
