It was raining cat's and dogs outside but it was also the last day of Luna staying with Selim. They were both seated in the home theater; wrapped in blankets, eating snacks while the movie Coralie played. As Luna watches it without a sound and being completely focused on it, Selim was thinking of his life choices.
Was seeing Lavanya again bringing his head out of the dark clouds? Where is the woman he proposed to? Why haven't she called? Where has she been for the past seven days? Was the things Jay said in the past true? Why can't she accepts his child? Why does she always run when difficult things comes her way?
His phone starts ringing and he got the index finger to the lip from his daughter who loudly shushed him to be quiet. Telling her that he'll be in the back, she just waves him off and he quickly took the call from his friend André. "Hey man, wassup?"
"Bruh, your girl is fucking wasted at Rico's bar. You coming to get her or should we send her home in a cab?"
André wasn't leaving so early to nurse a woman who has a brain to know she shouldn't be drinking so hard on a Thursday afternoon. Worst he hates drunks like her who can't hold their liquor and vomits everywhere they feel they should let it go.
"I'm watching cartoons with my daughter, Amy's big enough to travel herself. Put her on a cab and tell the driver her parent's location, I'm done with this shit." He hissed.
"Woah... Are you sure?" André had to ask since Selim never turned down his girl and now he did.
"Positive. I haven't seen her for a whole week since my kid has been here and she can stay with her parents until I get her shit packed." Selim meant what he says and he wasn't changing his mind either.
"Good luck brother. I'll call the cab and I'll be over tomorrow to see my niece..." Noise fills the background of the call with the voices of his friends. "We want to see our niece."
"Tomorrow then and thanks bruh."
As soon as the call ended he joined Luna who started telling him what he missed out even though his eyes were on the screen while he talked on the phone.

Selim's friends were over at his house with their children, nieces or nephews that they had to have a small kids party last minute. Luna and André's nephew were getting along as they had a stare off competition like he and Xani did. Walking over to move the boy away from his daughter when his butler came and told him of his fiancé's arrival.
That's when she walked inside his sitting room; wearing her highest heels, her hair perfectly straight, flawless makeup as always, designer Prada outfit, purse and sunglasses that she thought could help her from her hangover headache. Her mouth hung open at the sight of kids all over the house and Selim didn't miss her reaction. It was like he was finally seeing her true colours that everyone told him about.
Her sneer of disgust was replaced with her fake model smile as she removes her glasses and drink him in with her eyes. As she took one step forward, her eyes lowered to Selim's daughter staring right back at her with a straight face. Luna stares into Amy's eyes and it made Amy looks away to Selim once again. "Hey hunny."
"Baby girl. Go play with the girls, I'll be back in two minutes." Luna nods at her father's request and Selim's friends nods, silently saying good luck or they'll keep an eye on Luna.
Selim who's only in his sweatpants, being shirtless and barefoot he moved swiftly and grabbed her arm but careful not to hurt her. He took her to where he had been sleeping alone for eight nights in all without her and close the door behind them.
"Babe, I didn't get to say hello to your friends."
"Amy! Where have you been for the past week?" He demanded, ready for an argument.
