Both parents met at Jay's apartment because paparazzi were around when Selim got to the restaurant and that made Xani almost cancelling it. Now Jay made some changes to bring out Luna's was grocery shopping along with security from Selim for his daughter's safety.
Xani wheeled her way across from Selim who just took a seat after he offered her help and she turned him down. She was nervous, anxious and worried at the same time but relieved to finally talk to him. He was quiet after he greets her with a small 'Good afternoon' that she replied to. She was willing to start her story before he could open his mouth or the silence that could suffocates them.
"I found out I was pregnant pretty late, we has sex in August and Luna was born in May. I found out May second that I was pregnant and she was born the next day on May third around ten twenty in the afternoon. There were no complications with her but it was for me. I had no pregnancy symptoms during the pregnancy but it all hits me hard afterwards. I even had to do my exams that month and I was admitted in the hospital. I almost dropped out of school but I still did the exams because I payed for them pretty early. I went through the remaining school term up until graduation but I had to hide my pregnancy and baby. No one but the principal and the school board knows, all the teachers found out was of me being sick and it wasn't contagious. I was okay at school to do the exams two days after giving birth and lying to my friends that I was okay.
At home daddy was in shock, my stepmothers volunteered to babysit the few day old Luna. I had to cheaply put pads inside my bra to stop the milk flow and change it every ten minutes. I had to be hydrated but I would vomit afterwards, I had headaches, cramps all over. The bleeding after child's birth was heavy and it made me light headed so daddy had to bring me to school and pick me up afterwards. He would ignore me otherwise but did everything for Luna. When I would forget to breastfeed due to studying he would let me know or wake me up to do it.
She only had two separate clothes that was brought from a complete rush after I found out. Then daddy got news about his business on how it was going downhill due to some rodent problem and on top of that he was in the middles of paying some money he borrowed. Two months later I got a call from the police station, he got locked up and would be going from jail to court and back. I became emotional, stressed and learned how to be a parent. I could still ask my step mothers for help with babysitting but I promised daddy not to tell them. I didn't know what trouble he was in but I listened to him.
I couldn't close his job because we might run out of business and get sued so I had to take over and layed off half the staffs. Few months down the line, I had to lay of more staffs and found out daddy got three years but he had money for bail. Only I know what was happening or that he was in prison so I run his business in the day with Luna and... Um... I... This may sounds awful but I did what I had to..."
"An what is that?" Selim asks, in his surprised but curious state of listening.
"I became a street dancer to lose weight, I made some money and found out it was more than I would make in my father's work. I taught myself by watching YouTube videos by also building myself using the internet to make extra money from it. The money wasn't enough to support myself and Luna, keep the bills going or put foods in our plates so I had to do something else. I... I became a street girl at bigger parties, collect tips, flirt with men to get money, became friends with plenty guys and I made one mistake by disrespecting one guy who was a don in a community. The party almost got shut down because of me and his men took me to his old building where I think I would be raped or killed. I didn't though, thankfully he knew my father and told me things I didn't know all along. About my family secrets, my mother, twin sister and how he can help me but only if I help him in return. So we become fake lovers, he worked for this guy in parliament who said if he didn't have a woman to help him in a certain job then he won't get it."
