"Urokodaki-san! Someone's here!" Giyū's voice rang out in the quiet hut.

"Is it our swords?" I poked my head out of the window. There, I saw a tall young woman wearing a fox mask and a white kimono with a red obi. strapped to her back were two swords. Urokodaki-san sighed. "Why this swordsmith?" he growled and limped to the door.

"Hello, Urokodaki-san. Long time, no see," the stranger said. She had a calm, soothing voice that immediately made me kind of sleepy. "Are these two your disciplines? I thought you said you had three-- oh."

"This is Kiyo Korokan," Urokodaki said, and the woman waved, "She's the only female swordsmith alive today. Also, the only one who wears one of my fox masks."

"Oh, I don't think I'll get a red sword today. These two are too... blue," Kiyo mused, and nevertheless smiled in a friendly manner, "I think I'll get a blue sword, at least. Hey, girl," she said, and I jumped.

"Yeah?" I asked nervously, and Kiyo laughed softly, not unkindly. "You're the one who made Song Breathing, right?" she asked, and I felt a jab of surprise. "You know me?" I asked.

"Urokodaki tells me all about his disciples every time," Kiyo smiled, "My father forged his sword. But, enough about me. Now here are your swords." She lay down the two swords. "The lighter one is yours," she told me, gesturing to the slightly smaller sword.

I picked it up and unsheathed it. As I did, a blue-gray-silver colour started marching up the silver blade. I widened my eyes. "What--?" I started, but Kiyo interrupted.

"Nichirin blades are also known as colour-changing swords, too," she explained, "Depending on the user, they will change colour," nodding her head a Giyū, whose sword had turned blue. "And I think I see a crow out there, coming through the window. I'd better go," she told us, and she headed to the door.

"But I think that if you break one of my swords, you're going to suffer," she said in a low voice, and Urokodaki-san sighed. "Stop giving death threats, Kiyo," he muttered, and I couldn't help but suppress a giggle.

A crow soared into the room at that exact moment. "Giyū Tomioka! Aimi Kizuki!" it cawed, and I jumped. It could talk? Giyū coughed, hiding his surprise. "You are to slay the demon terrorising the streets of Asakusa!" it continued, and I cocked my head.

"Asakusa? But that's a busy place!" I exclaimed, "There's no way a demon could get food without being caught." Giyū nodded. "My sister took me there once," he said, "It was bustling with people and I nearly got lost," he said, a pained expression filling his eyes. "I still miss my sister."

"Giyū! Aimi!" the crow cawed, shaking its head as if it couldn't believe how thick our skulls were, "Travel to Asakusa now!"

Giyū stretched and got up. As he walked to the door, he bowed to Urokodaki-san and left. I copied him, and left the doorway.

I think if Sabito was still with me, the mood would be considerably lighter.
