The first ray of morning light entered through the curtains of my room. I blinked open my eyes that felt heavy and swollen from last night. Turning onto my back, I faced the ceiling, pondering about what changed that day that hadn't been there the day before.

The answer? Everything did.

Life still wasn't that different from the day before. I still felt lost and, while I was physically in my room, mentally I was somewhere back in the hospital, looking through the small window.

At my side, I slid my hand up to my head but stopped when it nudged something. I frowned, turning my head to the side to see my laptop still running. 'Hadn't I turned it off?'

Last night, we had moved from the phone call to the laptop meets, now seeing each other's face.

[Even the bigger screen isn't giving any justice to your face.] I chuckled at the memory, but it was soon enough when the running laptop caught my attention again.

Once fully in sight, I realized two things. First, I never actually closed it, and second, the face time was never disconnected.

I remembered talking to Soobin till late and dozing off, maybe he did too. On the screen, there's a person fast asleep, his head resting on his forearms. He was facing to the side, a small pout on his lips. It was Soobin. Okay I knew I was far away from him and there is no such possibility that I might wake him up all the way from here, yet for some reason, I made my movements slow as I reached for my earphones and plugged it into the laptop.

And surely there were static sounds along with soft snores emanating from him. The sound was small and almost indistinguishable because of the static and instability of the internet, but still, it was there.

Unknowingly, my mouth formed into a smile and I dismissed all my thoughts of getting up. Looking at him was oddly comforting, everything else seeming to seep away from the background. Time was the least of my concerns.

Before I knew it, time flew away like running water in a river and it was already nine. An alarm resounded from the other side of the call, putting an end to Soobin's sleep. His head lifted with furrowed brows and scrunched nose, hand rubbing at one eye while the other reaching for the blaring alarm to his side. [Ugh this bitch.] I chuckled at that, assuming he hadn't noticed me yet.

An idea crossed my mind and I quickly sat up to search for my phone, unplugging the earphones. Once found, I quickly opened my messages, typing with a grin on my face.

'Look on the laptop screen, pabo.'

And then I want back to my seat, trying hard not to giggle.

Soobin's phone on the other side pinged with the notification, his movements freezing. And then he turned his head towards the device with such speed that it got me concerned for his poor neck. I launched into laughter at that.

[You are still here!]

"Yes, I am still here." He covered his face in supposed embarrassment that looked adorable. "Good morning, bunny boy."

[Good morning,] He uttered in his soft gruff voice.

"Did you get nice dreams?"

[I surely did.] We both laughed at that but it was soon before his one faded. He eyed me with a smile.

His gaze was making me feel things that I couldn't explain. "Don't look at me like that."

[Why? It's always nice to see beautiful people like you in the mornings. According to the myths, your day might go smoothly.]

Did I mention that he was cheesy at times? And it always managed to catch off-guard. "Stop flirting, will ya?" I asked, scrunching my nose.

[Never.]

And the laughs never ceased.
