chapter 5

(K) kidd pov:

I wake up by the sound of alarms around me going off. When i open my eyes i see doctor Halstead and April arround me. April try's to calm me down and luckely its working. When finally the sound of the alarms stop i look around me and see him.
I see Kelly standing outside my room with a worried face looking at me. He nod to him and he comes in when April gave the all clear. He comes in and hugs me, its like he can read my mind.
He gives me a kiss and a few minutes later doctor Halstead walks in
WH: hey stella how are you feeling
K: i'm fine, just a little headache.
S: i'm so happy you're okey, you got me worried
*severide looks outside the room and continous*
S: all of us were worried
K: i'm fine really, when can i get out of here?
WH: you can be discharged today cause you don't have any other symptoms. You are likely having a minor concussion, just get some rest today and  tomorrow you can get back to work.
K+S:  thanks Will

Kelly is outside with will signing the discharge papers and then qe can get out of  here. Everyone from 51 is waiting outside the room, even chief Boden came. Looking around i relise i got pretty damn luckey to be at this house, they feel like family... what am i saying they are my family.
I was lost in my own thought and didn't realise chief slipped in my room, he came over to give me a hug and asked me how i was doing.
CB: kidd how are you?
K: i'm good chief thank you, you really didn't have to come all the way here. I'm fine just a little headache.
CB: well i'm glad to hear your doing okey, and i don't mind a bit comming here and to check up on you.
K: thanks chief
CB: also i wanned to say that i heard about your save, kidd that was some wonderfull work!
K: thanks chief, that means a lot!
*kelly comes in*
S: hey chief
CB: hey kelly, i let you guys to it.
K: thanks chief for everything!
*chief boden gives Kidd a nod*
S: bye chief, see you later
K: bye chief
* casey and herman come in*

H: hey
K: hey
C: how are you feeling Kidd
K: i'm fine just a headache but no biggy
S:  you sure?
*kidd nods*
C: you guys going home or are you coming down to the house
K: to 51, shift hasn't ended and i feel fine
S: okey babe
*severide gives kidd a kiss and they all walk out of the room and the hospital*

As we walk out of the hospital i turn around to see al my friends who have become family and i say to them
K: thank you for saying here it wasn't neccesary but thanks
M: you would've done the same thing fit us kidd
R: your like a sister to me ofcourse i stay
H: although you aren't biological my daughter, i see you like one. Stella you are my daughter and i will always be by your side no mather what happens
B+V: what ritter said, we love you!
K: thanks guys, and now stop before i start to cry
*everyone laughs and walks over to there rigs*

They arrive at 51 and standing there waiting for everyone is the one person no one wanned to see.
Even though i was almost unconcious i heard everything that he said and to be honest it hurt. Hearing my family say that he needed to leave mean the world to me but i knew it wasn't over.

(H) herman pov:

When we all get back to 51 we see Grislog standing on the app floor waiting for us to come out of our rigs. When i step out i hear Ritter whisper something in my ear
R: Luitenant i know that what he said and did is wrong, but you need to keep you're chin up. Other wise he will keep going until one of us breaks.
H: i know , but it's reallt hard to controle myself
*cruz and casey add there selfs in the talk*
Cz: look i hear you herman, we all do but we need to find a way to end it. And i don't think it would end really well for any of us if you give him an punsh in the face
C: cruz and ritter are right, but if he keeps doing this i might give him a good punsh myself.
*grislog looks at them en starts to talk*

G: as i said on the call, i will be taking over command of truck 81. Kidd you will ride with us when neccesary but if not you will be in the bullpen answering phones, got it??
K: what why?? I didn't do anything wrong
G: you disobaid my order!
H: she is a firefighter and a good one, she is not your secretary!
S: commander this isn't fair.
C: she did what she had to do and i would've done the same. And by the way, i have a say in it to so kidd stays the Luitenant on 81. You got that??
G: all of you back to work, casey my office now!!
C: its the chiefs office but sure.
G: in the mean time go were you were left off with the cleaning

This man is an ass!!

(C) casey pov:

I walk into the office with grislog and he slams the door so it closes, when he turns around to me i say how mad he was.
G: chief Boden may have said that we share the command but don't overrule my dicision! I hope i made that clear
C: you can't just say that you are taking over a command of a unit that isn't even yours! Kidd did was she had to do and i would've done the same
G: that may be so but don't underestimate me. Dismist, and sent over Herman and severide.
C: will do and By the way, if you ever talk to one of my people the way you did today about kidd you and i are going to have a big problem. She is one of the best firefighters and leaders i have ever seen and if you don't agree with me and many people about that so be it, but you were out of line today!
* casey opens the door and slams it shut*

This guy is getting on my nerves, i can't stand him at all. He treats us like he is better bit he isn't, and what he did today with Stella was way out of line. I had to keep my self from hitting him really hard, but if he keeps going i won't hold back..
I walk over to Herman and severide and tell them to go to the office of chief
C: herman , severide you guys need to go to grislog. He isn't in a good mood so good luck.
H: this guy is a real dick i mean what the hell is his problem with all of us and especially with kidd.
K: i don't know he is just an ass who thinks we life in 1960 or something, where only men can be a firefighter but in real life there are plenty of women firefighters.
S: yeh and they are just as badass, even more so
*severide gives kidd a kiss*
H: okey severide lets go to grislog before we get the job to clean all of the windows
*they all laugh*

(S) severide pov:

I walk over to the office of the chief where grislog is sitting
Before we reach the door i say something to herman
S: hey herman, thanks for what you said on the app floor to Grislog about stella
H: no problem and no beed to thank me , she is like a daughter to me and no one talks to my child in the way he did
*grislog opens the door*
G: come in!
H: sure
*they walk in and shut the door*
S: why did you want to see us?
G: look i get you want to show how much you care about Kidd, but lets be honest here.....

I look aside and see a really mad herman, i can see his blood is boing and mine is too.
