Dream stayed in the hospital, it seemed

like he never left.

Unless the nurses shooed him out when

visiting hours were over.

But it seemed like he had nothing to do,

always checking up on George, bringing

him his favorite things to eat.

But it's not like they talked a lot, only a

hushed thank you from George and

Dream trying to start meaningless

conversations.

Which George shut down. Obviously.

"You're being discharged today." Dream

says, walking in with a bowl of steaming

food.

Dream looked at his star boy, and his heart

ached, George looked so tired, like he wasn't

getting any sleep.

His brown eyes didn't have stars in them.

Where were the stars?

Dream asks his star boy if he wants to talk,

fondness laced through his tone.

George shakes his head and turns away.

He asks Dream why he just won't

leave. Asks him if he has nothing

better to do.

"School still exists, you know."

"Yeah but you're more important."

"You're an idiot Dream." George turns

his head away, trying to conceal the

flush in his face.

"Anything for you Georgie." Dream

teases, winking at George before leaving.

Leaving George all red and flustered.

Leaving George even more in love.

Unrequited love.
