8th September 2019.

Severine had to admit she never really was a big fan of the sport, but since her friend got involved with one of the drivers, she got a little curious about F1. Darlene was currently at the campus now so she had the house for herself this afternoon. The Italian Grand Prix is going to take place today in Monza and so, she turned on her TV.

As soon as the lights were off, one word: messy.

It was one hell of a messy opening lap, a few little incidents happened in the first turn, if Severine's eyes weren't failing her. And afterwards, one of the Ferrari's spun and re-entered the track quite dangerously.

Has F1 races always been this spicy though? Severine thought.

The battle between the Ferrari and Mercedes was intense but she paid her attention to George and Lando and secretly rooting for them. But in the end, the one of the Ferrari won and she immediately turned off her TV. She needed to get ready to leave for the polo club, for her training starts in 45 minutes from now.

After finishing her class and submitting her assignments, Darlene finally had the time to breathe some air. Putting her bags on her laps, she looked outside the class window. It's summer but the dark grey clouds were there, hovering over the gloomy city as always.

The clock said that it's still 30 minutes until Severine finished her training. So there's going to be another 30 minutes drive until she gets here to pick her up. Darlene thought maybe she could spend some time in the library waiting for her.

The library's door was only a few metres ahead of her but suddenly a rough hand stopped her in her tracks. It rested heavily on her shoulders and she turned around.

"Devon?" she breathed out.

The big guy was fuming and he was sending her death glares through gritted teeth. But instead of anger, it looked more like he was scared... or panicking.

"Did you take it?" he asked.

Frowning, Darlene didn't understand the question. "Take what?" the last thing she remembered, she owed him nothing.

"My crystal. Where are they?" Darlene wanted to step away from him because it felt like he was blaming her on something she didn't do. But of course he didn't let her move an inch.

"You know I never cared about your meth." She said half-whisperingly. Darlene made sure her tone sounded as tough as possible but deep inside, perhaps she was a little scared too.

Devon knew those words were true but he didn't want to believe them. So he snapped at her.

"TELL ME WHERE DID YOU HID THEM!"

Darlene's smaller figure flinched at his tone and began to run. She could hear Devon's big steps chasing after her but she knew this place better than he does. Through her panicked state, she had to think about a good hiding place or better, get help.

Through the emergency stairs, she climbed up to the 3rd floor and stayed in the blindspot. Depending on her ears to hear if there's any movement from Devon. Sure does, he found the stairs entrance and began to climb up too. "Darlene, I know you're there." He said.

Darlene, through her ragged breaths, shouted. "Have you ever used your brain, Devon? Maybe that new crackhead of a girlfriend you have stole it."

There she said it and she could say she's a little proud for standing up for herself, because it felt kind of relieving to be able to talk back to him like that. Now she had to get help, but she didn't have a new phone yet.
