"Oi, chat! Calm down!" he said towards the screen. He's currently live on twitch and was more excited than ever. "As you can see, it just came into the mail this morning." he brought up the box in front of his face, showing it to the camera.

"I've already pulled out the address so you won't find out," he joked to the chat. "I'm very excited about this headset. I've heard some good reviews about it." He was actually a little confused on why the box was lighter than he thought.

Lando and the fans watching the stream expected him to pull out the brand new Logitech Pro X headset that he said he bought online the other day. But... what the heck is this.

There was a piece of thin and smooth fabric on his hand and he brought it up to inspect it. It was very smooth. The rim was lacy in a bold black color, while the centre was in peachy but also orangey color.

The chat went crazy. "IS THAT A FUCKING LINGERIE?!?!?!?"

"POG"

"I think that's silk."

"Wear it lando"

Holy shit. His mind went. It took him a few seconds...

"Holy fucking shit. This isn't mine." he said aloud. "I think it's my neighbor's."

He facepalmed and the chat already exploded. His face and ears were red in embarrassment. "I'm so sorry to break it up to you guys, but it appears that my headset hasn't arrived yet." Not being able to hold the embarrassment much longer, he said goodbye and ended the stream.

His phone dinged. Turned out Charles texted him and said that he saw the stream and he laughed like he was having the time of his life. "The gossip channels are going to have a lot to discuss about that." Charles said in the text.

He groaned and licked his lips. What the heck was he thinking? Who was to blame for that? Well, he was the one who picked it up by himself by the front desk downstairs so it was his own fault. No one else's.

Lando rummaged through the trash can again to look for the address page that he threw out earlier. Found it! It says for... unit 203 not 204. For "Darlene Harper" alongside her phone number on the bottom, not "Lando Norris."

Jesus flippin' Christ, how could he not see that? And most importantly now, how was he going to fix this? He reached out towards the kitchen pantry, looking for some duct tape and tried his best to make it look as new again. Perfect, he smiled to himself. Hopefully she won't notice.

He opened the door to place the package downstairs again but at the same time the door across his room also opened, revealing Darlene in her usual oversized hoodie and skinny jeans, ready to head out. Shit. Their eyes met.

"Oh, hey," she greeted him, adjusting her backpack. She glanced at the packet in his hand. Lando stood there frozen. How am I gonna explain this? Fuck fuck fuck.

"Hi. I, uh. I thought it was mine this morning and accidentally brought it to my room. I was just about to give it to you," he winced a forced smile. Please believe it.

Darlene was not buying it though. She didn't say anything and grabbed the package from him and observed it. "You've opened it."

Dammit. That wasn't a question.

"I... I can explain.."

"Have you seen what's inside?"

Lando gulped hard. He's never a good liar so he told her the truth. "Yes."

She watched him with empty eyes and sighed. "Please be more careful next time and use your brain wisely." she said bluntly at him and opened her door a bit then threw the package randomly into the unit. After that, she closed the door and locked it with a key. With light steps, she walked along the hallway, not saying anything else to Lando.

Ok, she's clearly not happy.

-----

George Russell crossed his arms in front of his chest, looking at the menu board intently. "Hey there, mate." he said without peeling his eyes away when Lando walked into the store. "Hey." Lando stopped by his side and copied his stance.

"So why are we here?" Lando asked his friend.

"We are here because you owe an apology." George glanced on the next menu board. Lando let out another groan. "Don't tell me you saw my stream too."

"I mean who doesn't? At this point everyone knows about it. I think." George bluntly said. "Thanks mate, that doesn't make me feel any better."

"You're welcome. And I think the Mango Sorbet Layered Ice Cream Cake is good."

"What the heck, that's a mouthful."

"It is. My sisters said it's good."

Lando shrugged. Never really been a fan of desserts but according to George's theory, girls loves desserts, so it's going to be a good idea to give her a cake and apologize for the stupid mistake earlier.

"Please send my regards to them for recommending this place."

"Will do."

"Have you decided what to order?" the cashier politely asked them, glancing a little at the queue behind them, mouthing a little 'sorry'.

-----

The engine roared to life and they left the cake shop in George's car.

"Mate, can you shut your bloody mouth?"

Lando instantly clasped his mouth shut to hear George out while he's driving him towards his new apartment.

"It's an ice cream cake so you have to give it to her as soon as possible before it melts."

"But, why now? I can give it to her.. Tomorrow I guess?"

"What the heck, why not now?"

"I-I can put it in the fridge first."

"No fucking excuse, mate. Just give it to her. Say that you're sorry. Hope she likes it. Done. Not awkward at all. Stop overthinking."

Lando let his shoulder slumped down and he leaned back against the car seat. Sigh. if only it's as easy as George said. Next, they arrived at the apartment. George said that he wanted to stay at Lando's apartment a bit before heading home. Of course Lando didn't mind. But deep inside he knew that George was only curious about how's the apology going to go.

-----

Knock, knock, knock.

"Darlene, are you there?" George heard Lando's voice as he peeked from the peephole. The cake was put nicely in a carton box. Lando was holding it nervously.

"It's Lando," he said again.

A few seconds after that, the door swung open. Revealing the girl called Darlene who's been messing with his friend's head for the past few hours now. "What do you want?" her tone was cold.

"I... I wanted to apologize properly," he gulped. "It was stupid of me and I'll try to be more careful next time. Uh.. and this, I brought some cake for you." he shoved the box towards her.

Her eyes softened at him as she received it slowly. Lando just noticed she wasn't wearing her glasses at the moment. "I know this brand." she mumbled slowly. "Well, well, well, isn't this expensive?" she smiled and chuckled a little.

Lando couldn't help but giggled a little and awkwardly scratched the back of his head. "Ah, not really. I hope you like it."

She turned her face upwards to look at his taller form.

"Appreciate it, but actually I don't really like sweet foods." she winced.

Ouch.

"Thanks though. Maybe i'll give it to my boyfriend later."

OUCH.

So she has a boyfriend.

Why do I feel disappointed?

George couldn't help but facepalmed.
