Cienna, Kook or Pogue?

"Hey what are you supposed to be eh? Kook or Pogue?." Cienna sighs. How the fuck do I answer that. So she replies as she always does. "Whatever I feel like sweetheart." She makes her way to the ocean with a surfboard. She supposed it could be confusing but then again she is confusing.
A little bit about Cienna Grey. One that's not her name, it's her stepdads surname. The great Michael Grey. Where to start. She was born on the Southside of the Island. The land of the Pogues. Her mother was what is called "a Pogue Princess." Everyone on that side of the island absolutely adored her. She lived with her brother John Routledge. Her mother's life was great until she was knocked up by some guy that was visiting the island. She never did see him again. So her mother struggled and struggled to support her little baby girl. Her parents disowned her and life was hard but everyday she spent with her little ray of sunshine was worth it. She was the light of her life. So the sixteen year old mother with the help of her brother raised her little girl alongside her nephew while Big John worked his ass off to support them.

When Cienna was young she spent every minute of every day with her cousin John B. They learned to walk together, learned to talk together and learned how to surf together. And let's face it that last one is extremely important to everyone living on the Cut. Eventually their little group grew when there was two more boys introduced. Two young boys, JJ Maybank and Pope Heyward. The four became inseparable. When their parents were off doing whatever parents do the kids were off somewhere getting into some sort of trouble!

*Memory*
The sun was hitting the ocean and it glared across the beach. There was a shadow of four young eight year old kids making their way towards the water. The boys- JJ and John B were tumbling and rough housing while Cienna and Pope laugh at them. All of a sudden everything went quiet and Cienna looked around for the two boys and out of nowhere JJ runs right into her lifting her up and running towards the water. Cienna half laughs, half screams at the young boy and then the four kids are in the water. They splash each other with as much water as possible. That's when they hear Popes dad yelling for Pope to come back. John B leaves and walks back leaving Cienna and JJ alone. The two young kids swim out a bit further but then walk along back to John B. Along the way JJ stops and shouts. "Hey Cienna, look at these." He holds up two identical shark teeth. Cienna exclaims talking about how cool they are. JJ then hands them over to Cienna. "Keep them, they're yours", he says kindly. Cienna hugs the boy laughing and the pair run back to the young John B. Two weeks later Cienna hands JJ a necklace she made with her mum with a shark tooth on it. "Promise you will always remember me JJ okay? Promise you'll remember me when I move to figure eight?" Cienna says. "Always", the young boy exclaims. "But anyways you will come back and visit right?".
Although Cienna replied yes to the young boy but she wouldn't see JJ Myabank for many years to come.
That was the day her mother married Michael Grey. Some rich guy who lives on figure eight. So her mother packed up their lives on the cut. Big John begged her to stay but they ended up fighting and her mum packed her up without even getting to say goodbye. She just about got to say goodbye to the boys-her family.
