 A day later after another night that you spent cuddled up to Alcina, Daniela drags you along to join her in the library and of course you don't say no to her.
You light a fire, as always and sit down on your usual seat, eyeing Daniela for a split second before you open a new book.

,,So…You spent the night in my mothers room again, huh?", Daniela says after some time without looking up and you raise your eyebrows.
,,You will tell me when I am allowed to start calling you my step mom, right?"
,,I don't know if you are being serious right now, but if that happens to be the case, yes, I will tell you", you reply and Daniela snickers.
,,Trust me, I'm dead serious", she says, but she doesn't appear to be confused or even reproachful.
Her eyes twinkle in amusement and her lips curl into a small smile.
,,Do you really think, Bella, Cassandra and I didn't notice? You two are inseperatable, and Cassi might not agree, but I find that really cute".

She flips the page of her book, then she raises her finger and adds: ,,But don't you dare to give me any details. You are my best friend, yes, yet I don't need to know everything".
,,Of course", you giggle, feeling more than happy that Daniela sees you that way and you run a hand through your hair ,,I really like her, that is all you need to know".

,,You adorable, little thing", Daniela sighs with a chuckle ,,Or sould I say, adorable step-mom?".
,,Shut up", you throw the pillow on your seat at the girl and she flinches so it doesn't hit her.
,,Never", she sends you a little wink, just as there is a  knock on the door and you and Daniela both tilt your head into the direction, just as Cassandra enters.
,,Good morning", she says with a look of displeasure on her face ,,I start to feel like I am the messeger for bad news around here. The second maiden just died".
,,Already?", Danielas eyes widen and you stare at the darkhaired girl as well, a wave of shock jolting through you. That means…

,,One more to go and you'll be the bloodbag", Daniela says, half joking, half sounding worried and you glance at her for a second before biting your tongue and tilting your head to the floor.
,,Actually… Yes".
,,Wait, really?".
,,As long as I will stay alive, I'm okay with it", you raise both of your hands in defense and Cassandra chuckles, standing in front of the fireplace and staring into the flames.
,,Tsk, you definitely won't. She'll chain you up in one of her little restrainment-thingies she has hanging around in the basement and torture you until all the color leaves your face and the bucket below you is filled with blood", she says in a sarastic tone and you know she isn't being serious, yet the thought alone terrifies you. 
,,What a funny joke, Cassi. Mother won't let you die, trust me", Daniela crosses her arms in front of her chest and sends her sister a glare,,You will probably be suprised with how careful she'll be".
,,Or won't be".
,,She will be".
,,Fine, whatever."

,,Thought you don't want me dead anymore?", you say and Cassandra rolls her eyes, yet a hint of a smile appears on her lips.
,,Well, if I can't do the job, maybe my mother can", she says in a joking tone and you grin, feeling glad that you two get along like that now.
,,Sorry to interrupt, but where is Bela?", Daniela then asks and Cassandra takes one, two steps away from the fireplace, furrowing her eyebrows.
,,Still in the kitchen, I think", she says when a light buzzing comes to your ear and the girl turns around to glance at the door ,,Or she is on her way here right now…?". 
The next second the door swings open and indeed, the third sister enters.

,,You're both here, great", she says and then turns to you with a light smile ,,Hi, Y/N".
You greet her with a little wave and raise an eyebrow when you notice the stains of blood on her robe and her hands.

,,So, I'm done with storing her and I saved a bit of the liver for us", Bela says and you make a face of the thought of a raw, human liver lying around in the kitchen ,,It's still fresh…".
,,You had me at liver", Daniela grins and places her book aside, then gives you a questioning look ,,Is it okay if I leave you alone for a bit?".
,,Of course", you nod ,,Enjoy your… liver".
,,We will, step-mom", Cassandra grins as she walks over to the door and turns around one last time to send you a little wave, Bela follows her while holding a laugh in and Daniela smiles at you as she gets up from her seat.
