Alcina takes a deep breath, her hands gripping the door handle tightly as she pushes the door open to leave the dining room after the last meeting she, the other lords and their allies hold for the last two hours and she had been dying to get away from all these people for a good few minutes already.
Now she has to go and find her daughters, the plan is set and she has to inform them about everything they discussed in those last hours. They'd be the one to save her little one, after all.
The sound of her heels echos through the halls as she first walks to Cassandras, then Danielas and then Belas room, finding the three girls sitting on the bed of her oldest daughter and she smiles a little at the sight of her children.

,,Hey mom", Cassandra says as she notices the tall woman entering the room as the first and sits up a little straighter, placing the book aside that she and Daniela had been reading ,,What's up? ".
,,We're done planing", Alcina replies and chuckles softly as Belas and Danielas eyes scoot up to her as well, eyeing her with interest now.
,,We will leave early tomorrow in the morning so I want all of you to go to bed early today", she says and she notices the way Daniela rolls her eyes, but she decides to ignore that for now ,,You three and four troups, consisting out of five men each, will go to find Mia and my love…".

Cassandra audibly chokes at the pet name that accidentally slipped between Alcinas lips and her sisters giggle, covering their laughs behind their hands and Alcina rolls her eyes.
,,…As I was saying. My siblings and I, as well as Ethan, Chris and the rest of the troups will go to find Miranda and hopefully bring that woman to let out her last breath".
,,Alright", Daniela leans back into the pillows and huffs ,,At least I get to beat some lycans asses".
Alcina eyes her daughter with a scolding gaze and shakes her head. ,,Language, Daniela".
,,Mother, in all respect, really now?", Bela says and Cassandra grins, watching the situation without saying a word.
Alcina simply sighs and nods slowly. She was right, at the moment there were greater worries than her daughters cussing.

The family spends the rest of the day and evening together and in the early night, Alcina makes sure that all of her girls are in bed, nestled into their thick blankets and ready to go to sleep.
Though she herself felt restless, her thoughts were ruminating and she spent some hours sitting on an armchair near the windows in one of her private rooms where the glass didn't get smashed by Mirandas ravens, watching the clouds get lighter and the sky darker, nibbling on her wine and letting her mind wander.

Many things could happen tomorrow, one worse than the other and only one being the one Alcina was hoping for.
She already expected that Miranda used her little one for an experiment, did terrible things to her or even… She didn't even want to give that thought a voice, but she knew it was possible. And the possibility made her nervous. Alcina didn't get nervous or anxious easily, but as she was sitting on that chair she felt her chest tightening, breathing got harder, she chocked back tears, her body started to shake whenever she inhaled and her hands gripped the material of the chair tightly.

She bit her tongue as pictures rushed through her head, a movie of torture showing her girl suffering and crying, looking so weak and fragile on a cold laboratory floor and Alcina realised that this was the reality all of the girls had to went through that she herself ever used for her experiments.
Miranda gave her subjects she could test certain things with and now, as the thought about it she started to feel horrible.
Those girls suffered unimaginable pain and horror and Alcina never even questioned it. Her hatred towards Miranda and what the woman did to her back then, turning her into this creature, this gigantic woman whose appearance was enough to scare anyone off that Alcina met since being turned, made her go blind toward the suffering of her subjects. She used them to let her anger out and now a deep sense of regret filled her.
Nothing of this must have happened if Alcina simply wouldn't have let herself be lured into Miranda's tales of curing her.
But… That would also mean she never would have met the person she felt so safe with, who loved her, was blind towards the things Alcina hated about herself.

Alcina starred off into the distance and her head started to get sore with the thousand new thoughts that came up now.
Was it destiny that they met? Were they meant to meet? She would have been long dead by now if it wasn't for Miranda.
So maybe… Maybe all of the things that ever happened and the things she did were worth it.
Without the suffering of the girls from her experiments she wouldn't know what it feels like to have someone loving her in that way or what it feels like to be helplessly in love herself.

In that moment Alcina looked up to the clear sky and saw a shooting star in between the spruce's. The star reflected in her eyes until it died and she bit her tongue as she drowned the rest of her wine.
She knew she would commit so many more murders if that'd mean she would be back with y/n. She would sacrifice the entire world, burn it all to the ground until only ruins are left to hold the girl in her arms again.
And Miranda was just one small speck in the universe. Might be that that woman was Alcinas creator, in a way, but unlike Alcina Miranda never felt love and she had nothing to fight for. No family, nothing.
Alcina had it all.

,,That woman is going to pay for everything she has done to us", she  mumbles as she places her glass back down and takes a deep breath ,,And hell, if we won't win I will haunt her down until she ends it herself".

(A/N: Hello there, I didn't die as you might see now. I know this chapter is ridiculously short but it is only part one to chapter 41 and the rest will follow soon, don't worry. I just didn't want to leave y'all waiting much longer so here's the first bit already :) )
