Now that the sun had fully set, Taehyung was already waiting at the gate. He heard steps and gasped as the king rounded the corner.

Yoongi wore a leather top without sleeves, the part from the collar to the chest made out of black mesh. That accompanied by black dress pants and intricate jewelry.

Taehyung thought that he had been overdressed, and he was confused why his garments were colored a dark red.

"Good evening," Yoongi spoke up, holding his arm out for Taehyung to take.

Taehyung curtsied and accepted the offer, earning a strange look from Yoongi. "How long did you train for those reflexes?"

The omega blushed slightly, remembering that Yoongi didn't care much about etiquette.

"Seven years," Taehyung answered, watching as Yoongi led them down the steps into the courtyard.

"That is an impressive amount of time," the King acknowledged, taking Myrin's reins from one of the stable boys.

"We're going by horse? Is it that far away?" Taehyung asked, accepting Yoongi's hand to get onto the horse.

"Not usually," Yoongi answered, slightly motivating Myrin to go forward.

"The Vandre Lys is what every family celebrates in their inner circle. Each family has their traditions because, on the day of the wandering lights, we pray to the moon goddess, hoping that our mate is safe and that we will be united as soon as possible."

Taehyung nodded, quite impressed with the depth of those traditions. "I have another question."

"Ask. And hold on tight, we're going to Trott now."

Taehyung immediately slung his arms around the king's waist, surprised by how smooth Myrin walked.

"Why is my robe red?" Taehyung asked; by now, he was used to wearing the North's dark and relatively monotone colors.

"You don't like it?" Yoongi asked, looking over his shoulder.

Taehyung cheeks turned a soft red yet again, and the omega found himself unable to break eye contact.

"I did," the younger reinstated, "but I was wondering why they're red all of a sudden."

"Because red is the color of the West. The sons of Azias, the Light of the West, should stand tall like they always did," Yoongi expressed, and Taehyung felt his chest fluttering by the evident respect of Yoongi for his people.

"I never knew that you and Namjoon respect each other so much."
Taehyung couldn't stop himself from panicking. It was a sensitive topic, and not even Namjoon had told him what happened in the past.

Yoongi, however, stayed calm, not at all deterred by Taehyung's question. "I figured that you'd ask someday."

"I'm sorry," Taehyung murmured, resting his head on the King's shoulder.
