one week later.

Yeah, you're still in Wakanda.

The truth is, you don't even want to leave. You've spent the past seven days in Suri's lab, checking up on her progress with Bucky and she seems to be making amazing progress.

You've also taken a look at the metal arm they've designed for him, and it looks incredible. You can't wait for them to actually make it.

Today, you're in the lab again, watching Suri work her magic on Bucky. You stare at how perfect he looks on that table, and your body heats with desire.

"Is he your boyfriend?" Suri asks, putting some plugs on his head.

"Huh?" The question catches you off guard. "No, he's not my boyfriend."

"You act like he is." She chuckles.

"I mean yeah, we like eachother." You blush. "He hasn't asked me to be his girlfriend yet."

"Why are you waiting for him?" Suri scoffs. "I hate this stupid 'boy ask girl' tradition."

"You hate every tradition." You laugh.

"Because they're all stupid." She does some more typing at her computer that's connected up with Bucky's brain.

"What?" She says to herself with a smile. "Who developed this brainwash code?"

"1940's HYDRA." You answer, and Suri scoffs.

"Of course it was the 40s."

"How could you tell?"

"Because the coding is horrible!" She snorts. "It took me less than a week to disable it."

"Wait, you disabled it?" You get up from your chair and stand next to her.

"I thought this would've taken months, or even years." Suri starts disconnecting Bucky from her system.

"Wait, I thought you said you would only need a few days?" You fold your arms.

Suri winces. "I only said that to make you stay, I didn't really have any idea as to how long this was going to take."

"You're lucky that you were right." You mumble, stroking Bucky's hair. "So you think we should wake him up now?"

"Patience, Y/N. His body needs a little more time to adjust. Give it another day, and you'll have him back."

This is great news to you, but Suri says this all with a sad sort of expression.

"What's the matter?" You ask, lifting her face up.

"You're going to leave as soon as I've fixed that unconscious coloniser, aren't you?"

"No, I'm not." You chuckle. "I'll stay for a little while longer after that."

"Are you sure?"

"I'm positive." You give her a hug. "I'm going to the market with Nakia tomorrow, you want to tag along?"

"I can't." She sighs. "I have a lot of work to do with T'Challa's suit."

She plays with her fingers, and you've been around Suri long enough to know what that means. She's either nervous, or she wants to show you something. You look at her with a smirk.

"Show me." You sigh, and a huge grin grows on her face.

"Hambisa umlungu!" She says excitedly to her workers. (Move the white man away!)

They comply, moving the table that Bucky's on further away from the two of you, and she pulls over an array of Black Panther mannequins with different suits on them.
