DECEMBER 24TH

Tonight was the night of the Christmas Eve party Tony's throwing. You, Wanda and Natasha are all in your bedroom, getting ready while the boys were downstairs prepping the main room.

"Does this look good?" Wanda puts on her outfit after she's done with her hair and makeup and stands in front of you.

"Wanda, you look good in anything you wear." You chuckle, coming out of your en-suite in a towel.

You dry yourself and get dressed into the outfit that Bucky chose yesterday. Now that you're wearing it, you realise it looks amazing on you. Red is definitely your colour.

"I wonder how the guys are getting on." Natasha applies some blush to her cheeks, making them rosy red.

"I'm sure they're doing fine." Wanda smiles, putting on some lipstick.

While Wanda and Nat are talking, your mind wonders off to Bucky, who's downstairs as well. He's been acting a little shifty these past few days, and you don't understand why. The two of you haven't had sex for almost a week, which is odd. He's been sleeping in his own room and you'd hear him sneak out of the compound late at night.

He hasn't been completely ignoring you, but things just seem a little...off.

Someone knocks on your door, snapping you out of your thoughts, and you get up to open it.

"Hey." You say to Bucky, who's standing in the doorway. "What's up?"

"Is Wanda in here?" He asks, avoiding your eye contact.

"Yeah, just a second!" She calls out, stepping into her heels before standing next to you.

"Could you come out here for a minute? I need to talk to you."

"Uhh, sure. Is there something wrong?"

"No." Bucky shakes his head. "Just come with me. I'll see you later, Y/N."

See? Shifty.

"Do you know what's up with Bucky?" You ask Natasha, finishing off your hair.

"No." She says quickly. "What about Bucky?"

"Don't you think he's been acting a little weird?"

"Not really." She shrugs.

There's definitely something going on that you don't know about. He's been asking for Natasha a lot as well, and there's a part of you that feels a little worried. You don't like being kept in the dark and right now, you feel like you've got a blanket over your eyes.

You eventually finish your hair and makeup, and so does Natasha. The two of you head out of the bedroom and towards where the boys are supposed to be, and you catch Wanda and Bucky whispering in a corner of the hallway. You squint at them to try and see what they're talking about but when Natasha catches you looking in that direction, she gets your attention by starting a conversation.

"So, what'd you get me?" She asks as you step into the elevator.

"A lot of Apple merchandise." You chuckle.
