There was no doubt. It was a dragon. Probably 20 metres long, and with red scales all over its body.
No one in the bus reacted. He looked around, and Lily was completely calm. Yet, something in her eyes showed fear.As Seth looked back to the window the dragon was gone.
"Did you see that?"
"See what?" Lily asked confused.
"That big dragon flying towards the bus!" Seth tried to whisper, but was confused and scared.
"No. It was probably just something you imagined."
Lily sounded very different from usual. Like she tried to sound convincing. But her eyes showed that she was lying. As they arrived to the school they walked together towards their class. Seth picked up almost every single movement, sound and smell around him, and his senses were unusually sharp. They had always been like that.
The classrooms were dull looking and sad. And the hall was tight and full of people. The day snailed forwards, and the next class was more boring than the other.
Exept for arts & crafts and history, there was no subject Seth liked. He was very artistic. And the arts class went by way too fast.
He met up with Lily after school and they went into the bus. There was really nothing to talk about, and the dragon from earlier was long gone from Seth's mind.
When Seth walked of the bus Lily grabbed his hand and said "The tree, 8 o'clock". Seth knew exactly what it meant and walked towards his house.
In his room he saw a shining object in his bed. It was some sort of necklace. A dragon eye with a ruby in the middle. It looked so familiar. He had seen it somewere before.
During the dinner Seth was quiet, and said nothing. He was going to tell Lily about the necklace. His parents were very quiet, and said nothing, wich Seth found very suspicious.
Seth waited for Lily by the tree. The tree was a point that was about the middle of he distance between their houses.
Lily came running 10 minutes later. She was covered in black liquid, mabye oil. She ran past Seth, and thats when he noticesd. Lily wasn't running towards Seth, she was running from something.
