The bell had rung. I got up, took my backpack and slung it over my shoulder, picking up the bag with the rose right after. I said bye to my friends, except Matthew, since we always had first period together on this day. He caught up to my pace, walking beside me as we headed inside the fancy, yet modern building.

Then, I crossed paths with him. Jaxon. I glanced at him, as my gaze met his. We quickly broke eye contact after, Matthew and I continuing our way towards our destined classroom.

I couldn't help but think about last night. Every single noise he had made, that expressions on his face that drove me insane.

"Leo, are you okay?" Matthew suddenly asked. I looked at him, startled, as his face held nothing but concern. I softly smile at him, telling him that everything is alright, that I'm just tired.

I hated lying to Matthew. But I had no choice. I don't want to upset him even more.

He seems to have brought it, as the rest of the way was in silence. We finally arrived to the door, silently opening it as all eyes were on us now.

The teacher still wasn't here. I pulled out my phone and scrolled through some of my socials, to see if there was anything interesting. Nope, nothing.

Finally, the bell had rung. Not long after, the teacher stepped inside of the room. The entire place went silent. The teacher, mr. Schmidt, greeted us, in his raspy and monotonous voice, as we did greeted him back. We had math now. As our first period.

I usually listen during math class, since it's one of my favorite subjects, but I couldn't seem to concentrate throughout the entire class. I couldn't help but think about last night. It felt wrong. He was my cousin. Yet it felt so right. I'm so confused.

First period was finally over. We had a ten minute break now, before the second period, which was for me English. I sat with Erik, a new friend of mine. He arrived here not too long ago, around the middle of the year. He was Norwegian.

"God morgen, Erik," i greeted, making my way towards his desk. He looks up at me and smiles, most likely at my choice of words. It meant 'good morning' in Norwegian. He taught me a few basic words in that language. Norwegian was a nice language indeed.

Erik was a tall guy, the tallest of the class. He had strawberry ginger hair, and Nordic blue eyes that perfectly combined with his hair. He was slightly toned too. He greeted me back, "God morgen, Jaxon!"

Since his desk was at the window, i stood in front of him, my right shoulder facing him as I leaned on the window.

The bell had rung again. Everyone went to sit back at their seats, as i did too, and the lesson had started.

The clock on the wall had finally marked twelve
o' clock. It was finally lunch time. Everyone had precipitated themselves to get to the cafeteria as fast as possible, as it would get quickly packed, making it impossible for you to find a spot after a certain time.

But I didn't really care, I always ate outside anyways.
The only people left in the classroom were Matthew, Timo and I. Timo was a fairly new student here, that had had arrived a around two months ago. He's from Finland, and still has a bit of trouble with English.

He's pretty friendly, to say the least. Matthew and I glance at each other, as he understood that I wanted to approach Timo. And so we did approach him. He was very friendly and sweet actually. He was pretty happy to see that people bothered talking to him.

We invited him to eat lunch with us, and he happily accepted. There we found ourselves on a bench in the school's courtyard, eating our lunch in silence. We'd ask Timo how it was like back in Finland, and he'd eagerly tell us about the country and the town where he lived for almost his entire life until now.

At some point, Matthew would worriedly ask me if I was actually doing alright, saying that I've been zoning out multiple times now. Timo also looked a bit concerned for me. Once again, I lied to him and told him everything was fine.

But the memories kept replaying in my mind, and I couldn't get rid of them.
