My names y/n Riley that's right Rick Riley's twin  we both play for the eden hall Varsity team my best friends scooter Holland we met when we where four and are now inseparable.

Scooter POV
Yeah me and y/n have been friends since we where four but the only problem is that since freshman year when we started hockey at this school I've started to develop a little crush on them. Another slight problem to that well two actually there Rick Riley's older twin  by 10 minutes witch means it's almost out of question for us to date and problem 2 she's 18 and I'm 17 witch means she's graduating this year and I'm not. We've been playing hockey together since I was 14 and they where 15 at eden hall if I tell them and they don't feel the same it's not only going to be awkward on the ice but also I could loose my closet friend... I don't know if I should risk it but there's just something about how there short hair and stupid smirk makes me feel that made me realize it's with the risk...

Y/n POV
I was walking to practice when I saw scooter sitting outside the nurses office with a bloody nose and black eye. I immediately ran over to him and asked him what happened and he said that my stupid brother started a fight with him because he found he likes me. I was shocked when he said that. I was saw his face heat up and his cheeks turn bright red I just smirked. So u really do like me huh I asked in a deeper voice. He looked up at my and said "y/n I have liked you since freshman year but I thought that if u found out u wouldn't feel the same and I would ruin our friendship and we'd be horrible on the ice together." I just looked at him smirked and then kissed him lightly on his lips to tease him. His face turned even reder if that was even possible and I just looked at him and said " so scott how bout tmr 8pm I'll take u to dinner and we can talk" he rolled his eyes at me using his name them smiled and said " yeah sure"

Yes I changed y/n from she/her pronouns to gender neutral because I feel more comfortable writing that way
