Y/n's POV

Guy Germaine used to be my best friend. A little background info me and guy have known each other since we where in peewee's don't get me wrong he was a great friend, until he started to become toxic with Connie. We always thought that guy and Connie where meant to be soul mates until we hit high school, guy and Connie stoped talking as much and stoped hanging out as much. We first thought that they where just busy with school, that was until I caught guy alone in the locker room after practice. I asked him what was going on with him and Connie and the answer I got back was "none of your danm business" . So I did the next best thing I could went to Julie to find out information about Connie and guy, she was just as concerned as the rest of the team and when I asked for help she told me she didn't want to get involved in any more team drama then she already was in. Great she was helpful, next idea go talk to the dumbass boyfriends Charlie and Adam, they turned out to be no danm help and just talked about training and hockey the entire time idk what else I was expecting. I walked to Connie's dorm and knocked in the door guy answered, "shit" I mumbled under my breath, "is Connie here I asked" he told me she was out with Julie and they where going out. Since it was a Friday night and we where blessed with not having game tomorrow, I wasn't surprised that they went out. I texted Julie asking her where they were she answered me and told me that they where out at Olive Garden and told me to meet her there so we could find out the truth about her and guy's hella toxic relationship. I met them there and we ordered food, then Julie finally asked her what was going on between her and guy she looked down and told us that she had no idea anymore. I just looked at her and said you should dump him and date me instead, she just looked up and chuckled, she didn't think I was being serious, I was tho. Julie knew I was, she hit my in the back of my head for saying that, I just rolled my eyes. We ended up leaving and Julie suggested that we hit for ice cream, she only suggested that because we wanted to keep her away from guy as much as possible this weekend. We got the ice cream but didn't really talk much just sort of sat there in silence. Connie finally spoke up, she looked at me and said, when you said I should dump guy and date you were you being serious? I looked down and smiled "yea I was" she looked at me, I'm gonna dunk him tomorrow your hotter then him anyway and a hell of a better player.

Time skip to next day

Connie walked to guy's dorm room and knocked on the door when he opened it he smiled at her and said "hi baby" connie ignored him and told him they where over. He stood there like an idiot once he finally realized what she said connie was already walking away guy yelled to her "and why the hell are you breaking up with me?" She yelled back "because your best friend is hotter and a better player." She walked to my dorm and knocked on the door I immediately opened it she looked at me said I dumped him and kissed me, that's how it went we dated from end of freshman year and got married 2 1/2 years after graduation. I have need up getting drafted to play for the ahl and Connie was asked to play for the Phf (premier hockey federation- that's the women's national teams) we both played hockey till out contracts where up and decided to leave Minnesota and move to Wisconsin where we lived the rest of our lives.
