"Hey."

Angelica softly knocked on the door of hers and Dream's room, eyebrows furrowed together as she eyed the lump on the bed. Dream wasn't feeling mentally well, something she knew from the moment he woke up since he didn't talk her ear off like he usually would. He was silent. Too silent. It was rare for him to be in this mood. He was always reassuring her, just her. But, when he did get like this, Angelica knew to stay in bed with him at all times since he liked it when she was next to him.

"How are you doing?" Angelica kneeled in front of him, resting her head on her crossed arms that were placed on the bed. Dream sniffed and a couple of tears fell from his eyes, his shoulders going up and down in a shrug. "Can I hug you?"

"You know I always love being hugged by you," Dream sniffed, a shaky breath escaping his lips at the end of his sentence. Angelica smiled a little and wrapped her arms around him, engulfing him in a warm hug that had him even more emotional.

Even more so, Dream cursed himself. He was doing well yesterday and the day before, laughing and hanging out with his friends and girlfriend who brightened his day. He was happy but as he woke up, he wasn't feeling too good. It's as if the sun that was shining brightly outside was gone and was replaced with a bunch of clouds, matching his mood.

"Do you want to eat a bit to at least put some food in your stomach?" Angelica looked down at him, fingers running themselves over his hair. Dream shook his head, nose and eyes stinging as more tears escaped his eyes. "Do you want me to stay here with you?"

Dream hummed and nodded, giving her an answer. She quickly grabbed the book he had been reading to her when she was having an off day and continued where he left off.

As the boy listened to his girlfriend's words, he spaced off like he had been doing, bringing himself down by the horrible thoughts invading his brain. He thought he was weird for feeling sad compared to how he felt a couple of days ago. He was ecstatic, he was living in such a euphoric state because he had everything he needed so why was he sad and feeling like crap?

"I hate this," he mumbled, burying his face into the pillow he was resting his head on, sobs coming out of him. "I was just doing well, Ang, why do I feel like this?"

Angelica sadly sighed and ran a hand over his forehead, fingers trailing down towards his cheekbones, wiping away his tears. "It's okay for you to feel this way, Clay. I don't want you to be insulting yourself just because you felt differently yesterday and the day before. It's okay to feel sad, it's okay, okay?"

Dream nodded and a small whimper escaped his lips as he cried more. It's as if he couldn't stop them from leaving his eyes, he couldn't. They're wouldn't stop. He never got like this. He never got this bad so why, why, was he feeling this way?

"God, I feel so fucking stupid," he turned to lay on his back, staring at the glowing stars he had placed on the ceiling for the girl beside him. He wiped his tears away with the back of his hand but new tears replaced the old ones. "At the same time, Ang, I feel so fucking done with my emotions. I feel like I'm being a burden and I feel like I'm dumping all of my emotions on you. I'm sorry."

"Hey, no," Angelica frowned, sitting up on their bed. "It's okay, don't be sorry. You're human. You have feelings, too. You're not being a burden or dumping all of your emotions on me. I'm here for you because I care and worry about you. Stop bringing yourself down with thoughts that are clearing hurting you. It's okay."

Dream let her words process in his head and he slowly nodded, gesturing for her to continue reading the book. Tears would slip out of his eyes here and there, causing his girlfriend to stare at him out of worry, though he waved her off, stating he was okay. Was he really?

"Here," Angelica grabbed a water bottle, bringing it closer to Dream's lip, noticing that he hadn't drank anything since two hours ago.

Dream took a sip of the drink, noticing that the dry feeling on his throat was gone. He laid back down on his side, continuing to hear the story and the dialogue of the pain the man character was indulging in, much like how he felt.

"Come here."

Dream scooted closer to the girl, resting his head on her stomach while she continued on reading the book. As she did so, halfway in the middle, she had played the music that did calm down Dream, his shoulders relaxing while a small breath escaped his lips, his eyes closing out of tiredness. After all, he couldn't sleep the night before because his brain was too active, leaving him awake until 7 in the morning. He had tried falling asleep and even Ang, who had woken up, tried to stay awake for him but mindlessly went back to sleep.

"Hopefully tomorrow I feel a bit better," Dream swore, a sigh escaping him. "I don't like feeling so down and so... like this. But, I know that with the right support and right mindset, little by little, I'll get better."

"And I want you to remember that there are days where you're going to feel like this again," Angelica held him. "When you feel like this, remember that it's going to be okay, take a deep breath, don't blame yourself. That's not good. Okay?"

"Okay," Dream sniffed, continuing to wipe away his tears as his girlfriend hugged him one more time, feeling everything he couldn't describe in the tight hold she had on him. "Thank you."

"Anything for you."
