This will be a male reader insert. This is the story of a young man who's life was ordinary & boring in his previous life, until a school trip to a lab changed everything. This is my first Wattpad story, so bare with me.
Author's note; (this takes place after the events of "Fright On!" & a few weeks before the events of " Why do ghouls fall in love?". Now, I didn't want to ruin Frankie's debut, & I can't fully remember the events of "Fright On!", that, & I never liked that special anyway. Now, on to the main event!)
Clawdeen's Pov: I'm glad the feud between the werewolves & vampires is finally over & Van Helscream along with Crabgrass have been banished to the catacombs by Headmistress Bloodgood. This whole thing was getting my fur in a bunch, & not in a good way. After the party, me & the ghouls were hanging out on top of the school at night on 1 of the towers.
Frankie; "I'm glad that's over, that whole mess was a pain in the bolts!"
Draculaura; "Totes, but at least everything worked out in the end".
Well at least there's a cresent moon tonight instead of a full moon, otherwise I would've gone extra crazy by now. At that moment, a huge gust of wind came out of nowhere & tried to blow us off. Frankie & Draculaura got lucky & grabbed a hold of something, I on the other hand, wasn't so lucky & started falling!
Frankie/Draculaura; "No, Clawdeen!"
Just when I thought my life was over before it even begun, it felt like something grabbed my left wrist & stopped me from falling. I had my eyes closed since I thought I was gonna land on the ground really hard, but when I opened them back up, for some reason, I was suspended in the air with my left arm above my head. The ghouls saw this.
Draculaura; "Did InvisiBilly catch you somehow?"
Me; "If it was, I would've smelled his scent already, but I smell somebody else entirely".
As soon as I said that, a mysterious guy wearing a black colored suit with a spider symbol on his chest appeared out of nowhere & was the 1 holding my wrist.

?; "You're lucky I was hanging around here, otherwise you would be dead by now".
Me; "Oh, my ghoul".
It felt like i was actually blushing when I saw him.
?; "Here, put your arms around my neck".
as he pulled me up while sticking to the wall with just his feet. So I did what he said, & he started climbing like what a spider normally does.
?; "Well, beats using safety gear".
By the time we got back on the roof, he was about to leave, but I stopped him & I had to ask him.
Me; "Who are you?"
?; "Who am I? I'm Spider-Shadow. But please, call me Shadow. Be careful next time, ok? You're 1 special ghoul, Clawdeen".
He put his left thumb & finger under my chin & it felt like he was looking deeply into my eyes when he said how special I am. Even though it was only a minute, somehow it felt like an eternity with him. Could he be the 1 I've been waiting for?
Shadow; "Well, until next time m'lady, see ya!".
& just like that, he jumped off the roof we're on, did a backflip, & he started swinging away with webs coming out of his wrists. I was actually in a loving daze as he swung away, until Cleo spoke up.
Cleo; "Well, it looks like our dear Clawdeen has found the manster of her dreams".
I knew Cleo was teasing me but she was in for a surprise.
Me; "Never thought I'd say this, but you're actually right".
Cleo; " *Gasp* Oh, my Ra! I was only kidding!".
Me; "I know, but for once, you're right".
Everyone was shocked & amazed by this, & Draculaura cooed at me knowing I found my knight in shining armor.
The next morning.
Before any of us started getting to class, me & the ghouls were called to Headmistress Bloodgood's office for something important. When we got there, somebody else was with Bloodgood.

Bloodgood; "Ah, good. You're here. I'd like to introduce you all to a new student who's joining our school. He may look like a normie, but he's actually a rare kind of monster called a mutant. Go on, dear, introduce yourself".
He turned around, & he was wearing a brown leather jacket with orangey brown stripes on the arms of the sleeves,

& even though he has the build of a jock, he actually looked pretty cute & handsome.
?; "Hi there, the name's L/n, Y/n L/n".
This is gonna be an interesting year.
